The size of the sponsorship logos.

I feel that im more of an advertisment for Carling(a beer i rate as weak and tasteless)

    I feel Celtic should:-

1, Decrease the size of the logo on the strip by at least 50%

2, Offer the fans an alternative choice-IE just the hoops with no sponsors

3, Abondon all sponsorship advertising on kids shirts-Kids shouldnt be walking billboards for grog-

I dont think the Carling sponsorship enhances the hoops at all

Money talks and if we did what you suggested then the money recieved would be reduced accordingly.

I would like to see Celtic with a diffferent sponsor, something that complements the jersey and the club and not having the same sponsor as Rangers

Its not just the logo but the design of the thing is *. The shirt material isn't strong enough to support the logo it hangs off the shirt and looks cheap. I would av prefered it if they used the one from last season

Guiness would never sponser Celtic as there would be no point.

The Whole point in advertising is to reach new audiences. Most Celtic fans are already familiar with guiness.

Could be worse than carling, could be MacEwans!

Thats not true at all. Guinness sponsor the GAA Hurling Championship, do you think that there is anyone in Ireland that hasn't heard of Guinness?

Its about reputation, success and prestige of who you sponsor too, it reflects well about your product.

Celtic shirt with a pint of the blackstuff in the middle would be great, no tacky writing just the pint! Can anyone photoshop it? LOL

    Couldn't agree more Dempsey.

Also, the Coors company, who own Carling have apparently been known for having Anti-Catholic and I think also racist parties.

I think if they had a choice they wouldn't sponsor us and only the Huns but they would lose money so they had to go for both teams.

I remember my father telling me about Danny McGrain saying in the 70's or early 80's I'd guess that one day all teams would have massive sponsors accross the middle of their shirts, right enough he was, although there are a few exceptions or maybe only Barcelona, this was after Hibs' shirt supplier 'Bukta' had a big logo on their shirt and it was controbversial at the time.

If I could find some sponsorless hooped shirts I'd definitely buy them, that's why retros look so good.

The sponserless tops are smart. Didn't mind last seasons sponser on the home hoops top as the material was better, but it's the material of the sponser on this seasons strips I hate. It sticks out rather than flat on, it gathers lots of dust on it and it breaks sometimes.

I agree with you in that I don't like sponsors and that the clear hoops would look amazing, having said this I have to admit that a Pint of Carling Ice is good stuff and...

    1. Agreed, take it out, might be much better!!

    2. I don't think we can, but keep an eye for my number three.

    3. I believe kids have a choice of buy Celtic shirts without the sponsor on it, as it is unethical to have a kid with an alcohol advertisement on it.

I have seen one of this kids shirts without the Carling badge, and they do look nice!!

In fact I am surprised it is not compulsory by law, even accessing a website of an alcohol product or entering any of their competitions is illegal if you are under 18.

Underage drinking is very much on a high though mate, they're not going to do something stupid like that when they know kids as young as 14 are getting bladdered at the weekend. Now that would be stupid.

  13. Kids at 14?

    No way. :fear:

By the time 'kids' are 14, they're in * sizes usually anyway.
I was out of kid's sizes at 12, and I'm not exactly a big person.

I hate when I listen to some of these phone-ins and the presenter will tell you all this crap about how Shrek has 7 trophies.

    1. 3 of them are diddy cups!

    2. The 2 leagues were not a result of them going forward as a club, but Celtic being in Europe and having to play far more games.

    3. First Scottish Team to reach the next stage in Europe? We were the 1st British team to win it!!!

    4. How lucky can you be to play Inter when they rest Adriano the 1st game and play in an empty stadium, and play them again when they were through finishing top? They cant beat Bratislavsa in 2 attempts!! Playing the worst Porto side I've ever seen in my life! And Bratislava would have been through if their last game was not played on a swamp!

And still these huns cant see how pish they really are!!!!

Cant wait to until they get horsed in February and have to apply to get into the intertoto cup.

Sorry, all that * me off!
