Next season the midfield will be thinner, with the exit of Nakamura. I would also expect Hartley to leave the club as his legs disappear. Robson is picking up niggly injuries constantly. Donati will also leave.

It speaks volumes that we are now worrying about who will replace Brown in the next 2 games where he is suspended despite having the options of Flood, Hartley as well as different permutations of a midfield by bringing Donati, Maloney, Mizuno, McCourt or Robson(if he makes a comeback) in.

I think Rangers will sign Dorman if they have the choice of the 2 in any case.

We arent signing Dorman, thats a non runner.

Aguiar wouldnt be signed as a first team player, he'd be squad depth and thats if you believe the media which I dont. They will just link us to every hun target going anyways and spin a story

Tbh i would only have one out of the 4 and it would be Aguiar. Hartley has been a good servant but his usage is becoming less, as seen with WGS's 'Dirty Harry' comments. His legs are beginning to go and i would rather see him replaced when possible than watch him struggle next year.

Imo he could do a job back at either Hearts or Hibs but i dont think he could chase another title and CL campaign.

i agree 100% on dorman.but aguiar is possible.with both hartley and donati likely to leave.aguiar would be straight replacement for either one with no transfer fee,and little wage.

I think as a squad player back up to our first choice centre mids then aguiar would not be a bad signing for nothing, but agree we need to bring in a decent lb,rm & striker.

would love to c us sign kadlec, either pennant or dos santos & janko

    Have a guess?
if he's free, an hartley leaves, and we dont get either stilic, gomez,or any of them types, would be a decent move

Aguiar looks certain to make Hearts exit as Old Firm wait in the wings - Scotsman.com Sport

BRUNO Aguiar's agent last night admitted his client is certain to leave Hearts this summer – but claims he could stay in Scotland, with both halves of the Old Firm thought to be lurking.

The Portuguese midfielder has played a pivotal role in helping the Tynecastle side secure third place in the SPL after returning from an 18-month injury absence last October.

Aguiar again impressed in Saturday's decisive 3-0 win over closest rivals Dundee United and is now the club's top scorer after notching his seventh goal of the season.

With his contract expiring, the 28-year-old has long insisted he will wait until the conclusion of the campaign to decide his future. Manager Csaba Laszlo said post-match on Saturday he hopes to retain the majority of his squad for their Europa League challenge, while fans also urged Aguiar to sign a new deal during the comfortable victory.

But with the playmaker one of the club's highest earners and Hearts keen to trim their wage bill, he now looks certain to depart.

Discussions between his representative Paulo Barbosa and Hearts majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov have been ongoing for weeks with nothing agreed.

Dutch outfit Ajax have now joined the list of clubs monitoring Aguiar, having had a representative at Tynecastle at the weekend, but it could be to Rangers or Celtic where the player heads next.

Asked of the interest from Ajax, Barbosa said: "Possibly, we will see. But we are also in talks with other Scottish clubs. With Hearts, I think it is finished (for Aguiar], I think so.

"Bruno will finish the contract and then he'll be a free agent. We will see what happens in the weeks ahead."

Hearts have already recruited a potential replacement for Aguiar with Inverness midfielder Ian Black joining the club this summer, having signed a pre-contract agreement.

Aguiar is certainly a decent player but i'd rather have Morgaro Gomis biggest impression a player we could get has made on me in a game against us in years "broony excluded" maybe since i saw Viduka in CL qualifier against Zagraeb!!!
