In response to HunSkelper, who says that the IRA were just sectarian murderers, this in fact is just a theory used by the brits to try and deflect the IRA's attention away from the war, and also a way to try and reduce their support. Many Catholics were killed by loyalists, with british consent, in the hope that the IRA would 'strike back', thus distracting them from fighting their real enemie's: foreign soldiers.

I know, the IRA were never sectarian and I never claimed it. I said they killed innocent pretestants as pubs where the British Army drank, protestants drank (makes sense, less Catholics in there) and when these pubs were bombed, they killed them.

the war was dirty.the provo's had a mandate and stuck to that as best they could.but when dark forces are at work and played with peoples lives, things just move from bad to worse.the intelligence networks litterly let people away with murder as long as it suits their aganda.

    For HS & Kildare ....

My ex from Crossmaglen knew this bhoy very well. Paul Quinn was 110% catholic, basically murdered for being in a fight with the son of a high IRA member. This i dont agree with. However i do agree with the IRA strongly support them. When killings such as this take place its just awful. :38:

Yeah I stopped supporting the Provos after the GFA were in my opinion they sold out! That young lad was a Republican an it was a disgusting act, very sad. I don't support the scum that killed him. :47:

I didnt even look at that video for one reason and that is that fact that its a Willie Fraser video(loyalist scumbag). His father was a member of the UVF for * sake.

    Justice for Paul Quinn :shamrock:

I would love to see a united Ireland. Personally i dont think the IRA or any of the groups are going to get it. Sinn Fein are going the right way about it. They dont want to see young bhoys join the RA to be killed, which is right. The people of Ireland wont support the RA if they let young bhoys get murdered.

Sinn Fein encouraged it in the past? As long as your over 18 your age is irrelevant your considered a man or women and can make your own decisions.

Sinn Fein are helping to administer British rule in Ireland now mate, its a disgrace. Sinn Fein sold out the Irish people and every single person that died or gave up their freedom for Ireland. I would love peace but cant see peace getting us anywhere.

    Nice post. :50:

You cant see peace getting use anywhere, what can you see?
Sinn Fein dont want to be under british rule, thats a fact. Gerry Adams done alot for Ireland before he jonied Sinn Fein. Do you rekon hes turned his back on everything he beleives? Its not possible. I used to think the IRA was going the right way about it. The more i looked into it the more i see that Sinn Fein are getting more and more support because they most defo do not want to see young bhoys being murdered in Ireland. If anything majour was to kick back off in Ireland do you think the RA would care if a young bhoy joined and was took out by the brits? No, they would want more young bhoys to join and the same to happen to them. Sinn Fein is keeping the peace in Ireland and i beleive they want to see Ireland as 1. :50::shamrock:

what would you have as an alternative kildare?

and leaving aside moral questions about restarting an armed conflict, look at the military logistics.

no more support from libya and no more support from the states.not to mention the lack of sympathy around the globe for irish republicanism if it started a war.

whats your vision of a military victory ?

The IRA are a great bunch of lads fighting for "Freedom" Which they have a right to do so. When they start killing innocent people its wrong. Same as when the Brits killed Aidan McAnespie. Cold Blood and Murder, it works for both sides. :50:

Right now theres peace in Ireland, and the people in Ireland love the peace. The majority of them dont want the troubles back, which is where i stop agreeing with the RA. I know and millions many more know that the RA are fighting for freedom, killing innocent people isnt freedom fighting. Just because the RA is that big an army doesnt mean they have the right to do as they please. If they want a united Ireland its about time they wise up and find a better soloution to do so, then maybe the people of Ireland will support them. I know i would fully support them if they changed their ways of what there doing.

    :50: Not bad yourself mate

Sinn Fein/ PIRA were the same organisation mate. Of course the IRA would care they arnt monsters pal. They alwas gave their members a soldiers funeral. I don't want young people to die I dont want anyone to die but as long as Ireland is occupied there will be people that will resist that.

Sinn Fein are gaining support but losing support from "grass root" Republicans. Fianna Fail have tried gaining freedom the last 80 odd years and have done nothing but disgrace Republican ideology. Were not getting any where, were no closer to a United Ireland than we were 30 years ago.
Do you think a seat in stormont was worth all the lives lost? In my opinion its not even worth one life.If they don't want to be under British rule then why are they administering it ?
