Glen and Kingston both out, great news, their goalkeeper is weak, there will be chances and we must take them, I think they will show good fight but we will be just too strong for them on the day!

Who to replace McManus at Hearts?

Been hearing on BBC that McManus is a doubt for the game at Tynecastle - any thoughts on a good replacement? O'Dea is also supposed to be out - Naylor back to full fitness, as well as John Kennedy.

They will try and bully us so I expect Strachan to lineup with a view of matching that.

    McDonald Vennegoor
    ______
    Fox
    Wilson

    just thinking...

its been over 215 minutes in the SPL since Boruc last let in a goal and that was against Sandaza... I think if we keep another clean sheet tomorow that will take him up to 305 minutes, this would be exellent for his confidence as he is a player who thrives on confidence. And the 3 clean sheets in a row against the huns will be making him smile too. 280 minutes in old firm games since Boruc let in a goal

His mistake against NI was pretty much like conceding in an OF for him, though.

true but it wasn't for Celtic, club and country will differ hugely to his mentality, just like when he has bad spells at Celtic it doesn't effect his national team play, I think Boruc is in some good form just now. other than international obviously.

Hearts have some danger men no doubt, Driver and Neilson worry me a bit as well as Bruno Aguier (spelling) but they have a poor keeper in my opinion and we should be able to get a couple through him, Hinkel running the line with Naka and McGeady and O'Dea on the other will work well to get balls into the box, Crosas and Brown to play Central to put together sweet passes and keep things tight and controlled.

Glen is a doubt for Hearts, and Nade is not in form, I think a win for the hoops 2-0 or 3-0, after what I saw against Hamilton and Falkirk I've got confidence that our team is technically well just now and should see this game to 3 points!

Celtic (from): Boruc, Hinkel, O'Dea, McManus, Caldwell, Brown, Nakamura, Crosas, Hartley, McGeady, Vennegoor of Hesselink, McDonald, Wilson, Loovens, Naylor, McCourt, Ferry, Fox.

Hmmmm these are the options then...

    .......................Boruc

    ..........Loovens.Caldwell.O'Dea/McManus

    Hinkel....................................Wilson/Naylor

    ......................Crosas

    ...............Hartley......Brown

    ..........McGeady
    ....................McDonald

This team I've picked for the occasion. I'd play 3 in defence and let Hinkel and Wilson get forward as much as possible. Hartley's reliable for a tough game like this also and the 3 big guys should keep us alright for corners. Crosas is a major player not for us as the pitches are improving every week and I went for McGeady as he's on a good run of form. What we don't want is VoH watching the game go by him up front.
I know I've left Nakamura out but horses for courses and Tynecastle ain't his track!

Quite confident about this game tbh. We're on brilliant form at both ends of the field so we should be able to keep Hearts out, don't think they'll be saying the same about us.

    Boruc

    Hinkel
    Caldwell
    McManus
    O'Dea

    Nakamura
    McGeady
    Crosas
    Brown

    Jan
    McDonald.

    2-0 McDonald x2.

    Really nervous about tomorrow.

I just hope WGS doesn't feel the need to get the felt tips out and * about with the team tomorrow.

I don't buy this clamour for Hartley to play at all as Crosas has been magnificent in the last 2 games and does everything Hartley does except twice as fast.

It's Hearts not Barca-*-lona. Lets get the same guys that have rattled in 8 goals in the last 2 games on the pitch and get these mini-hun * put in their place.

Let's give them the disrespect they deserve :icon_mrgreen:

    HAIL HAIL! :shamrock:

    2-3 to celtic.

Hearts to be winning 2-0 by half time, celtic to score 3 in the second.

No, we are talking about Boruc's confidence. To say confidence from international football doesn't transmit over to club football is wrong. It does, and it's only natural.

His two mistakes against NI would have really hurt him. Although he's responded well, which is good to see.
