    Liverpool don't have Irish ancestry. And as much as I don't like bringing religion into anything, they're the Protestant club in Merseyside.

    It's probably St Pauli or Barcelona, but loads of people like Barca anyway so they're a bit spoiled. We'd also get along very well with the likes of Athletico Bilbao and Livorno. Actually maybe not, seeing as we have so many fans who have a massive problem with Celtic fans displaying any kind of political belief (yet hundreds of other clubs do... only a problem in Scotland apparently!!).

    Why st Pauli? As far as I'm aware the two clubs have no ties with each other. Just the fans seem to have taken an interest in each other. The clubs however don't. As far as I know.


    Barca are the obviouse big club that has a good working relationship with Celtic. When both teams are playing they go out of their way to make each other as comfortable as possible, and provide each other with good resources. Along with the crosas deal, we do seem to get along very well with that club.

    I think Barcelona and AC Milan have a mutual respect for celtic fc i also believe that Sevilla hold Celtic and there fans in high regard.

    If truth be told we have friends all over due to the amazing supporters of celtic... it's a credit to you all tbh

    barca and villareall seem to be the obvious choices.
    i'm confused with some saying liverpool.......doesnt the name KOP stand for
    "kings of protestants"
    i personally have never felt anything but utter contempt for that club.
    our only tie is ynwa.....and the way the celtic fans sing it * all over the way liverpool sing it.

    I wish we could drop this fascination with Liverpool ffs,and man utd.

    I have only experienced a team we get on with in villareal...but in saying that i believe barcelona and st pauli are good friends too.

    Their founding member and a lot of their founding directors were members of the Orange Order.

    Villarreal, Oofstande, Barca and St Pauli are the only teams we have real connections with.

    WE dont have anything with them but thats not what the OP asked. He asked which teams do we get on with best.

    Villareal opened a Celtic supporters club after the UEFA cup game in 2004 as they were so stunned by the warmth of our fans.

    Barca fans chanted our name at both legs of the CL last 16 game last year and their players still speak warmly of our atmosphere. Would you see that at any other game of such magnitude?

    To have that connection with 2 big clubs like them, who have no reason to be welcoming to us, is remarkable for me.
