    how may daft goals have we lost due to this daft marking. has to be man to man. what are your thoughts ?

    I am sick of this it has cost us a good few goals this season from set pieces we should go back to good old man marking just because barcelona, man utd, real madrid etc do zonal marking dosent mean that we * have to do it :31:

    Wasn't the first goal more down to the fact Jan didn't pick up Sandaza well enough? He was in his Zone and should have been picked up better I thought.

    Not that I'm disagreeing, I hate Zonal Marking when it comes to corners.

    Maybe, but Sandaza attacked the ball after making a run. If we were man-marking, Jan would have made the run with him and attacked it too. Far greater chance of defending it successfully.

    True although even if Jan ran with him I'd expect Sandaza to out jump him. Anyway I thought it was the second goal today that was criminal.

    Zonal marking is proven to lose less goals, overall. But for this specific team it does not work, we need to change.

    as already pointed out, we will receive goals even when we switch to man marking, because it's down to individual errors.

    however it's still better than celtic fc zonal marking.

    either our players are too stupid to understand or they don't communicate well enough with each other.

    Probably the biggest problem I have with Strachan is this insistence on zonal marking, but I think this time the problem lies with Vennegoor not watching for the incoming man. I think he could have at least took the power of the header by challanging for it.

    A dont know why gordo consists of playing the zonal marking it clearly doesnt work , has been showin on plenty of times silly goals conceded from school boy errors:O

    Clearly its time to go back to man mark the threats and maybe a bit of zonal on the lesser threat sbut eathier way we need to introduce man marking somehow:D
