I really did not expect that. I thought he would be away at the end of the season after Liverpool don't win the title but oh well...

    Yee-hawww!!!!

Best news I've heard in ages. He rotates too much for them to ever win the league IMO.

Liverpool will never win a league with him as manager, he is a * manager, it would be my worst nightmare to hear he ever became celtic manager, terrible man manager, negative tactician and hopeless in the transfer market.

With all the money the money he's had to spend there's only 2 class players in the team and gerrard was there already, and how could you go wrong signing torres, all the rest are just above average

To call him * is like saying Messi has no skill. How can someone who gets a team to 2 CL finals be *? Luck...?

He's not *. But luck did actually play a huge part in it. The goal against Chelsea?

Then the next time, they get through to the final on penalties. I don't care what anybody says, to win a match on penalties, luck is what you require more than anything.

He's a fantastic manager in terms of European football, probably the best.

I thought you'd need composed players who can finish well to win a penalty shoot out. A decent goalie helps too.

You do need composed players, obviously. But what about the opposition goalkeeper? Don't you need to firstly be lucky that he goes the wrong way? Lucky that he didn't get a strong enough fingertip on it?

Luck plays a huge part in pens, always does.

I'd say no. I think the advantage is always with the person taking the penalty. If you hit a penalty well enough, you should score no matter what way the keeper dives. There's also a lot of players that are good at sending the keeper the wrong way. That's more skill than luck to me.

You are lucky if you win or penalties but you are un-lucky to lose on them? As Minty says its cool head that are required and if you look at GK's today they general save the majority of * penalties. He plays his tactics right in the CL and has reeped the rewards.

He's good in Europe because he has a system that works, that system however fails miserbly against teams in the epl who are not as good,

With all the money he has spent, he must have more flops than any other manager, he's good in europe but he'll never win the epl, he's to negative and stubborn.
