Read Mark McGhee in the paper today saying, " I see him as a future Celtic No.9." Thought at the time that we were silly letting Sheridan go, and now with the striking crisis, does anybody else agree? Would also be good to know your opinions of him as a player.:50:

    No he's pish

First touch like a baby elephant.

Wont pull on a Celtic jersey again and will spend his career at lower Scottish teams.

No offence to the big guy, but thats his level.

i can see it, we have a bright future ahead of us. all this young talent, and the more of them we loan out, the better the teams will be to take points off rangers, and the better they get for us. brilliant stuff.

sheridan never really impressed me when he got his chance, but i still rate him cuz he got his goals. can't wait to see how he'll improve

    We'll see, he's only a young guy.

Didn't look that great to me but he scored a few goals.

look at him, he's 20, a 20 year old should be enthusiastic and trying to prove what he can do, to me, he just looks lethargic and lazy, if ur not gonna give ur all for the cause, your not good enought, plus the facted he's pish lol

This is why McGhee will never be good enough to manage a club like ours. Sheridan is hopeless and so is Bob Malcolm.

McGhee is the man that recommended Virgo to us and compared him to Roy Aitken

I'd be very surprised if Sheridan became a first choice striker at Celtic.

You also need to keep in mind why he says these things. Virgo is the next Aitken = more money for his club. Sheridan will be a future Celtic number 9 = a confident young striker.

    He's not stupid.

Considering he's only been playing football for around 5 years, he aint exactly too shabby. You can't expect a Chris Sutton in a 19 year old ex-Gaelic Football player.

He'll learn. He'll come back from Motherwell a better player. He might make it or he might not but I have faith he an do it.

While I agree that he isnt top class.I find the timing of his loan deal odd.We are currently working with 3 strikers ATM,as Hutchison doesnt look as if he is going to get a run IMO.2 of our 3 strikers are woefully off form.Would Sheridan really be such a bad option just now, even just coming off the bench?

I look forward to seeing how this boy improves, if he does that is. And tbh he cant do any worse than what JVOH & Samaras have done lately. Does anyone know how long he is on loan for??
I am also bemused at how Hutchies not been given a half decent chance aswell..:97:

i dont think he will become that good, first thing you need to have is be confident, he doesnt look confident at all when he runs hes stiff, like hes nervous, and that kilmarnock game he scoed 2 he didnt look confident and you can see it even more when he celebrates doesnt run around lack of confidence, hate to say it but needs to be more like Fleck where he thinks he great that way hel get somewhere
