Being 22 in the coefficents dont mean anything america are 5th in world rankings are they the 5th best team? i dont belive we are as far down as 50th i would rank us round the 30th mark i belive there are teams above us that we could beat when playing well.

You've put a lot of time into this so fair play to you but I think we'll agree to disagree.

ok i stretched it a bit with the Turkish and Belgian teams but i honestly think the others would fair better against us but more importantly would fair better than us against top sides currently in th CL.
If you look at our best starting 11 Camara,NcManus and Telfer are probably the only ones who wouldn't stand a chance of playing for any of the top teams but outside that there's Marshall,Thomson,Virgo,Varga,Pearson,Wallace,Beattie who wouldnt too so...

don't think we're a top 10 team just yet, between 15-30 maybe. i couldn't go through all clubs in europe to give a real assessment but, we need to have a better champions league record to get anywhere near the top 10.

i don't think celtic would be in the top 25. remember we couldn't beat artmedia bratislava over two legs. i know we've improved since then, but we still need to improve more to mix it in the champions league. we can test ourselves against the big guns next year after we clinch the league. c'mon the hoops:celt_2: p.s. where would you rate dunfermline?:39: lets put things into perspective eh!

Sorry guys i though we were talking about the current team not the club.
@ theboymalone obviously its just speculation as to weither we would beat a certain team or not but i came to my conclusions based on how they perform against top side in their own leagues and in Eufa competitions.

It's a tough one, My heart says top 16. We have Passion again in the team, and it never left the fans. I think we have a good manager that had a shocking one off game in europe, that in any other circumstance would have been balance by the return leg.

However if anyone were to look at saturdays game, and place judgement then they would struggle to say that team could ever play in Europe.

Ignoring that Horror show I would say that we are certainly top 32. And with a bit of luck and hard work we could push for top 8 on a good day, with the wind behind us!

I wouldn't go for Lyon being the best in Europe or Inter better than AC or Liverpool better than Real and PSV. That table isn't accurate. Celtic would be outside the top 25 along with Rangers. Rangers better than Betis....no

I never made it... Its based on stats from this season, which ones i'm not actually sure but the numbers at the sides are points... Reason celtic aint in it because they never qualified for europe.

Just had a look, points are based on the following.

    League win = 3 points draw = 1 point lose = 0 points
    uefa cup win = 6 points draw = 2 points lose = 0 points
    champions league win = 9 points draw = 3 lose = 0

It's more of a consistancy thing.

I never said you did but the table isn't accurate. It doesn't take into consideration the difference in quality of opposition in different leagues etc.
