The fact is that the numbers show up your argument as high subjective and you cant handle that the facts point elsewhere.

Most professional footballers will want to go to the best leagues and for the highest price, neither are the SPL. Your thinking that any player will come to the 13th best league for just 6-8 matches in the UCL each year is deluded tbh.

Moderators have their own opinions on Celtic and express them freely :bbpd:

Not happy with either and I'd go so far as to say that I'm not happy with the effort I see out there, no urgency, drive or passion

Think I agree with Dempsey on this one. You cannot just dismiss the financial side of the issue. That is one of the crucial factors why we arent going out and spending 3mill on a player. and that we cant afford to pay a player 50k a week. These issues affect every part of Celtic and I totally agree that we are playing crap just now and that we really need to sort this out and that is something the current squad and staff need to quickly address. but buying new top players is hard. Fact is, stoke, Hull, Fulham can all offer more money than us so we face a big fight for every half decent player. I wish we had brought in Ched Evans, Garrido, Cech, Hustzi, Silic, or Tamas in the summer, and maybe we need to be a wee bit ambitious in what we pay but not if it is going to jeopardize our finances severely. Look at the nick of the huns!!! That said, Lawell should break the bank and get Kaka. * Man City!

End of the day , we compete with whats in front of us, The SPL is our bread and butter, and with our huge resources within the SPL - we should ( apart from the huns occasionally) wipe the floor with them. FACT

For info, when Aberdeen and Dundee UTD in the 80's took us on and won, they were actually paying as good if not better wages than the old firm, FACT.

We (and all scottish clubs) have always been a selling club(s) over the years, look at the facts, Dalgleish, etc, they all moved for financial reasons. We were paying peanuts in comparison to the rewards down south 30 years ago, nothing has changed much. Just as the same English clubs lost some players to the big Italian, German clubs at those times.

Yes, I am happy with the results and the performance

Now I'm either a Rangers fan or I'm taking the pish.

I don't matter what one it is you can't have any credibility thinking everything is a bed of roses.

    1st point

I would like to say it is a well known fact that you win more with a good performance than you do with a bad performance

    2nd point

lets say it is the start of the season and 8 games are gone and we have 12 points from 24 in the first 2 months.

That what our form is like at the moment, alarm bells would be ringing, lets hopes it not 12 in 27 after the Rangers game.

p.s. note I did vote for not happy with both,

    the present celtic team

for me i think we,ve got a good squad of players, but as a team i think there
is not enough players on their top form, hope it is the so called lull of the season, and what a better way to get back on track is a huns game

Too hard to answer. We have had some poor results and poor performances but I think huge nos of injuries have stopped us regularly seeing what this squad can do. I think its a very decent group of players but circumstances have meant we only see just how good they could be in flashes. The big picture is we have the best group of players we have had in about 6 years. If they click we will blow Rangers away in the run in.

There's absolutely no excuse for drawing with ICT like we did last weekend. Terrible stuff. We need to start working away from this ever-growing situation that we can only win games at home...

A lot of talk about injuries. Thats part of the game. We are the defending champions and should be wiping the floor with teams like ICT, injuries or not. Team seems to be going in reverse. Not happy.

I'm taking it I'm the only one who thinks performances are probably better this year than in the last 3 years? I mean aye, they're still utter pish (as I fully expect them to remain for as long as WGS remains), but the way people are talking you'd think they'd dropped off a cliff.

Our points to match ratio is almost identical to last season as is our goals to game ratio. Admittedly we've been shakey at the back, but I think when Maloney's been in the team we've been a sight more entertaining than at any time in the previous two seasons.

So the general doom and gloom around this place is perplexing when I remember that roses were growing out Strachan's * at the start of the season after a statistically identical season to this one in which we were (IMO) less entertaining for most of it. Mibbes people are finally just seeing what I (and most Celtic supporters I talk to in the real world) have seen for the last 3 1/2 years? But since only about 10% of the plonkers on this board seem capable of forming opinions informed by anything other than the numbers on the score sheet in the last match (and the one on Rangers') I'd bet that if we sleepwalk our way to scrappy wins in our next couple of games this place will be awash with everyone raving about how great we are again.:bash:

A lull isn't totally uncommon this time of year. Poor weather, poor crowds, international qualifiers, injuries picked up, lots of tiring cup games. It's grind 'em out time of year. It can be expected.
