And you would know more about managing a football team than a man who spent his whole life at the highest level in the game.

If we were halfway down the league I could understand stupid, reactionary posts like this, but we are TOP OF THE LEAGUE.

I really don't think you know what failure is.

We failed to beat a team who hasnt kept a clean sheet all season and hasnt won or drew in 8 games. THAT is failure.

i really think its because we threw away wat should be a very commanding lead over the huns. confidence i think has also hit a low point, we are struggling against teams, and dropping points which could and i say COULD cost us the league. i also think we are lucky tat other teams are causing the huns problems or else we would be playing catch up like last season. an doubters should look at last season to see that nothing is a given till the end even if we have a hard time getting there lol:50:

this is not the worst team we've ever seen we are still top (just)but the level of performance the day is just not good enough.

up until a few weeks ago the injuries excuse was a fair excuse as to why we were playing poorly but now it wont stick as now we are pretty much full strength...................I just want to see us try something different when we struggle like this and cant see a reason why we dont try a more aggresive tactic like a 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 when we need a goal...instead we stick to a 4-4-2 that has'nt worked all game,,we seem to play on in hope rather than belief that we will score...

I really cant believe the lack of desire we showed today it was a * joke and the players and the managment better wake up before it is too late,,I really believe we'll win the league but I wish we would stop giving the huns heart with these lacklustre performances.......

the 50's were the worst period for celtic but the early 90's were dreadful too and we went 6 years without any trophy from the scottish cup in 89 to the same trophy in 95 - remember peter grant at the end?

i get upset watching poor performances from these guys when i consoider their exhorbitant earnings and the fact that we have played poorly for months. yes we are still top but we should be out of sight by now

we have a bloated squad, with too many strikers and midfielders but not enough quality to push for first team places to put pressure on the first 11 which should make them raise their game

for the sake of sacrificing a few of the squad who never get a look in we could have invested in a bit better quality.

that is an honest observation without looking to slag off anybody and i dont think it is too much to ask that we keep the huns down when they are their lowest. we should be hammering them into the dirt to finish them off as a credible rival for years

maybe people are disgruntled because we are making hard work of teams who not long ago we wouldnt have thought of as any kind of threat? yea 1 or 2 mite have got a result against us but not at the rate they are doing this season.

Think that ICT having a new manager & us having played 120 mins 3 days ago has something to do with it.

Not that we shouldn't have won, our squad just isn't up to scratch, although we have 1st team players injured such as Maloney - but I feel we are in for a hard fight to win the league, after this performance.

C'mon, we need to get on a winning run & get some confidence back.

Perhaps Lawell will sanction a 1st team ready player tomorrow (or 2).

I wouldn't count this one as it was a shot come cross. I would however give him credit for the one in the first half which Samaras half heartedly headed by the post.

1 out of 15 or so ain't bad for McGeady's standards imo.

I can't agree with this. The game may have taken it's toll a little through the week but really we should have the strength n depth to create some chances against the league's poorest team.

If you know me/posts, then you'll know I'm a huge fan of WGS and have created post/threads on his behalf. I do believe however that he got his tactics, line-up and subs wrong today and this is why I'm voicing my opinion. I thought these football sights were for these reasons mainly, taking other peoples views into account while voicing your own.

I don't get supporters who just defend everything about our or their club just because they are a fan! Opinions spread and help at times. If we're happy with today's team, we'll be very lucky to finish top this season.

And why is that??? your happy watching that * every week well, we have been struggling for months and imo the manager is to blame its his * signings and his team and this is by far the worst celtic team i have see in my life, i have opinions and a get slaughterd on here when i say the team was not good enough or has been good all season!!!!!!!!!!

The last time we played good for a full 90 mins was our last cl game!!!
Am not really fussed about, strachan is clueless will never change his formation, a actually knew sheridan was going to get the last 3 mins to change the game for us!!!! pathetic he,s no were near good enough when cant get the basics right and our defence is a shambles and we could havew easily lost today>>> were top but not for long if we continue to play like that, Players on wages that what they make in a week a make in a year if craig levein or jimmy calderwood can assemble a better footballing team for peanutts then what is wrong with our club!!!!

We have a manger who hides in the dugout wehen his * should have been out on that touchline changing formations and telling the players to get in about theteam at the bottom of the league :38:

Tbh we were horrendous today but what's telling Strachan to gtf gonna achieve ? Get a grip ffs. Yous * don't realise how good we have it but instead yous are being spoiled little brats. Yous will only realise how good we have it when Strachans gone. And remember it's a privelage not a * chore -as some would lead you to believe - to support Glasgow Celtic. Some people make me sick and instead of moaning should - imo - should GTF not Strachan.

    Good post Metrobhoy:50:

I know your posts and I know you are a fan of WGS,but it is refreshing to read a realistic summing up of what was another poor day at the office.

I'm all for supporting the team but come on,we havent played well for months. We have dropped 12 points from the last 8 league games. We should be cruising at this present time, instead we are giving a poor Hun side hope every single week.

I'm not asking for the manager to be sacked, that is ludicrous. But lets be honest,we aint playing well.As you said,if we cant beat the team thats bottom of the league and havent won in 8 games, there's something far wrong.A tough game midweek is no excuse I'm afraid.

I can't agree with this mate

WGS did everything right today but put the ball in the net himself.
The ref was fecken terrible today and denied us a clear cut penalty when McGeady was felled, and also allowed Black to get away with kicking everything in green and white hoops :31:
We will bounce back from this no sweat :50:

i admire your blind loyalty and i hope you are correct

but this Celtic team, in my humble opinion, is dreadfully short of the standards required to complete victory for the domestic honours this year unless they get a swift and severe injection of skill, pace and heart.

when we should be at least ten points clear!

we have to play the spawn of satan in 12 days and if we lose they go top which should never have even been on the menu!

I'm sorry mate but most of the * posted in here today is pure reactionary babble.
Just attack attack attack. 'It was him, get him tae *' type of thing.
Nothing wrong with having an opinion but some people just come out with the same old song after every bad game. They don't know why WGS did this or that or picked him and no him. They just jump on someone's back cos it makes them feel better if they can blame someone.
    Anyone will do.

If people start behaving like they want to debate an issue then why do they jump in fists flying and expect a cordial reception?

You've been here long enough to know this happens every time we drop points and you also know that if we beat Rangers next week then these same people are not gonna start threads retracting every anti-Strachan thing they said the week before. No, they'll lap up the victory, taunt all the Huns they know and wait for the next draw loss and start shouting the same * again.
Well I'm in this for the full season and although days like today are hard to take, especially if you've had the bitter wind fae the Moray Firth blowing up yer kilt all afternoon, I can't see any point in aimlessy attacking the manager. He has to make decisions, sometimes they pay off and sometimes they don't. He has to make the choice. Sheridan for Skippy was a brave choice, but it never paid off. If Sheridan had scored then everyone would be saying 'what a masterstroke.'

I'm as gutted as the next guy about the result, but you have to take it on the chin. If you want to point out where you think things went wrong fair enough, that's why we have internet forums, but if it's just so people can hear your opinion then don't be offended when you hear someone else's opinion of your opinion.

What a scrappy match. We didn't create much at all. Inverness remain our bogey team and they seemed to be galvanised by their new manager's arrival. Celtic on the other hand seemed flat and lacked that extra bit to get a goal. At least we can look at it as a point gained. We're still top of the league and there was no guarantee of going through the rest of the season without dropping any more points.
