The ref ...

The ref was shocking i thought he got a few things right but another poor performance from the ref.

 

Ref was murder in my opinion made too much wrong decisions (well decisions that i felt were wrong) and what happend with the loovens penalty i must have missed it?

 

I was quite angry with those two decisions actually. I thought Loovens got the ball.

 

The Robson one looked like a pen at first but having seen the replay, the ref got it right. However I've noticed him give the huns some dodgy decisions though this season and I think the media are bumming him up with every game which tell a story.

Tonight I thought he was OK though until the pens as posted above.

 

heard in another thread he had to make them waitat the pensdue to the tv coverage changing chanel

 

I don't believe that though. How would the ref know the TV stations are changing channels, and why did he make Hinkel wait? But not the United player after Loovens?

Robson dived, and i believe the ref could of been telling Loovens that the channel was changing so he had to delay.

 

Then why did he also try to do the same with Hinkel, but not the player for United after Loovens?

 

If we got beat on pens tonight i would not blame the ref. Average game from him. thought Dundee United played well. cant blame the man in black.

I agree with bo'ness. . . Robsons was a pen. The guy put in a late challenge, missed the ball and caught Robson. . .PENO !!

What about the stand-side linesman, he was giving wrong decisions less than two yards away from his eyes ??

 

I hope you're no talking about the Barry Robson one when you say 'stonewaller' coz to be honest that was never a penalty.

 

how can people come on here and say the barry robson one was a pen ?? he clearly dived ffs remember the kevin thomson one at ibrox with sammy it wis sort of like that, by throwing himself at his opponent so how many people thought kevin thompsons was a penalty then ?

 

Robson took a bit of a dive...no pen for me.....but i did think it was strange the ref spoke to no one all during the pens untill loovens could win it.....

 

People are saying the ref told Loovens to wait cos the TV channels were changing. Watching the highlights, he clearly points to Wilkie and stares at Wilkie whilst talking to Loovens. Just trying to put Loovens off IMO.

 

He was probably saying, "McLooven, see that Wilkie fella over there crying his mince pies out? That'll be you in a moment if you don't slot this one home to take Celtic through to the FINAL..."

Queue panic.

It actually looked as if Looven's stopped and looked to his left (at the ref) as he was going to take the pen, then he though he was ok to go so completed his run and had his shot saved. Definately something up.

 

Then he walks over to Hinkel and tries to stall him by telling him to wait until the whistle, what else was he gonna do ffs?

Yet he didn't do this with any DUTD player.
