Great display in midfield today, everyone played their part but Brown never stopped running and tackling the whole game. He was my MOM but a great team performance today. :50:

Great assist for the third goal as well.

The sort of boundless energy Brown showed and the willingness to chase down everything is priceless.

Can see why there's daft figures being quoted for his transfer, there's very few central midfield players in Europe that cover as much grass as he does.

midfield played well last week as well the main problem is defence especially captain calamity we must sot defence out or it will come back to haunt us:31:

Didn't see a lot of today's game and what I did see was so blurred I thought I was watching a game played ina goldfish bowl.

Agree with you though about Brown. On his game he's one of the best young attacking midfielders around. If there's one thing that would worry me about a Brown, Crosas, McGeady & Naka/maloney midfield it would be their ability to get stuck into opponents in the games where the midfield would be saturated and heavy going. I'ts games like that where we need a Hartley or Robson in there not afraid to put themselves about.

Exactly. It looks like a good football-playing midfield, but who does the tackling ?

A little OTT methinks guys.Brown,McGeady,Crosas all great and potential to be mainstay of our midfield for years to come. However, at 2 - 1 up today and with 15 minutes left, Nish should have equalised.Bearing in mind that Hibs were dire - worst i can remember them at CP in recent times - i think the adulation is a little overboard.Yes, the case can be argued that the defence was poor again and we should have finished more up front, but the midfield has responsibilty for both these areas also.......just thought i`d open it up for discussion. Hail!Hail!

Its my preffered midfield. As the OP said, it has a bit of everything and has time on its side (bar Naka).

    Good balance to it

couldnt get to the game today because my sister in law let me down for the babysitting.

Had to ticktalk but the stream wasnt great. . .Glad to hear the comments about the midfield, but that has never been a problem IMO. .

Good to see Skippy getting among the goals. . .Iam really pleased after last week when I was raging. . . .

was vital we won today. . .happy days :icon_mrgreen:

totally agree the midfield are strong. its the movement upfront that's poor. if you watch the game watch how many times the midfield have to play the ball back and forth between each other because there's no movement up front. thought hinkel did really well today

Crosas and Skoosh were the main men in there today, with McGeady
    and Naka also superb

We were able to play at a high tempo with boundless energy and Hibs just
    couldn't cope

Keep it this way please WGS

Great to see Crosas back in today. He was excellent as was Brown in front of him. Amazing to think Crosas has only played 8 games including today. He looks like he could develop into a major player for us. Lets hope he steers clear of injury from here on in as once he gets fully fit and gets some games under his belt he could be the key piece that puts it all together for us from midfield as Robson was so important in last seasons run in.

Crosas has been class with his passing , remember his 1st game i had to watch it twice as i dont think he gave the ball away ..great vision and passer for someone so young ...He strolls through games when i have watched him , i believe there is more to come from this lad :50:..nice bit of business :celt_2:

I don't think it had a killer ball today. Brown has the work rate, McGeady the turns but no end product most of the time, Crosas the ability to spread the ball about and Naka can have a killer ball but does not always show up. We are one bit of magic away from our best midfield in years imo.

I think maloney left and mcgeady right will be frightening if we ever see it,,especially with brown getting the freedom crosas allows him,,might just be the wee bit o magic we need,,I reckon this would be our best midfield and would cause any team problems.....
