Your opinion is naive, dont ignore the facts, Bobo's contract has not been broken in any way, shape or form. Do you think an Organisation the size of Celtic would leave themselves open to Legal proceedings due to a breach of contract?, and if they had do you not think that Baldes advisers would have started an action before now?

Another naive post, The Club has a signing policy that is well documented, but to say Strachans main job is to clear out high earners is ridiculous, Strachan is the First Team Coach first and foremost, he will report on who will play a part in the the first team squad, and Balde does not fit that bill.
I have not defended Strachan during this thread at all.

From your viewpoint you think Bobo is being "forced out", you are clearly tainted by your obvious dislike of Strachan which you have made clear in your posts on this subject.
From my point of view, I accept that Balde has no part to play in first team affairs, therefore I'm happy to see him move on.
The Club has bent over backwards to accommodate his demands, and he was offered a deal at Birmingham City which matched his deal at Celtic.
He is jepeordising our plans for the immediate future as he is a huge drain on our budgeted Wage spend.

 

After the Confidentiality Clause was waived by the Club (this was the sticking point over his August move to Birmingham) he then decided that he wanted a share of any Champions League First Team bonuses for the then upcoming campaign, he also wanted any club fines repaid to him, fines stretching back to when he first signed.

 

yes i remember about the fines situation.

 

i personnally think there is more going on behind closed doors regarding this situation. Bobo Balde was like a rock at the back for us and there wasnt many cross's or setpieces scored on us while he was playing. in my opinnion he was a legend for celtic and it has really disappointed me the way in which he has been treated. Bobo Balde loves celtic football club and its nothing to do with the money he gets. gordan strachon obviously as arrogant as he is jus doesnt like him and thats that. there was a rumour round that he actually fined him £100,000 recently for no reason!! i dont know how true that is, but strachon just is'nt doing his job, last year balde came in from da cold and got us our first clean sheet in * knows how many matches and got da man of da match which goes as more proof that he is probably still our best defender, and strachons job is to pick our best team and if balde's not in it then strachon simply isnt doing his job!! I hope Balde da very best when he moves on and it'll b sad he wont get a final goodbye on da pitch but i for one cant wait to hear what he has to say on what went on at celtic park because it might open our eye's to some of da gobshites that are running our club

There was a reason for the £100k fine, he was away at Marseille talking terms on a contract over there he was to return on a certain day for training with the reserves and youths, but he never made it and was fined 3 weeks wages as a result.

I think he was a few days late though, and it wasnt recently, it was in the summer at some point and the news coverage of it only just popped up recently.

Thats what the story was anyway...

Bobo's a total waster and a massive liability. I can't see why yould want him in the team.. Just think back to M'well last season.

 

back to motherwell last season ? what about the don's this season the huns at parkhead ? when was the last time celtic conceded 4 goals when big bobo played? he is the most dominant Center half we have at CP

 

dont know about ever but he was a no nonsense type like he would ave had dan cousin in his back pocket same wi lee miller players like that he made look stupid, i rememeber against valencia he marked carew out of the game and cousin is like a carew clone.
