Celtic's Strikeforce

I find it ironic that over the last 5 years say Rangers have been badly looking a regular goalscorer (and are still looking). However, we have been blessed by many terrific forwards and goalscorers - Larsson, Sutton, Camara (only joking), Hartson, Bellamy, Zurawski, Beattie and Maloney to name just a few.

Anyone have an idea why this is the case, especially considering the "world class facitilities" at Murray Park?

It's not all down to the strikers, Celtic have always played attacking football, and as such our midfield has always created plenty of chances for our strikers. Under MON we had Henrik, a true one-off, not just for his goals, but for his overall play and for the number of goals he set up too.
The Huns have never replaced McCoist, but at the moment their midfield is pish, IMO Bazza is the most over-rated footballer in Scotland, I find it ironic that Lennon isn't given enough credit for doing his job better than Fergusson, but that's the Scottish media for you.

Celtic have had problems with goalkeepers though when they've had Klos who USED to be good lol but now we have a world class keeper.

It's always been like that at Celtic finding good strikers from the 1960s to present day we have been blessed by the forwards we have had in my time being a bhoy look at the strikers we have had at parkhead in the last ten year Di-canio,Van-Hooijdonk,Cadtte then the King arrived Larsson+Viduka+Bratback40: good at Roseberg)then Morcick came What a player some left peg,Nakamura reminds me of Lubo but the good thing with Naka is his age-27 going to be some player at the World-Cup 2006 for Japan then we have now bhoys Hartson,Sutton(some player to have he can play in 3 position)Maloney,Beattie,Zurawski can see Magic being a good player for Celtic Can't see Magic being as good as Larsson,But i can see Maloney+McManus+Beattie turing out for Scotland all together in the future so right now Celtic is the best footballing side in Scotland,Do the bhoys think Celtic would give Chelsea a good run out or even cuff them at Football???

Sparky(celticman) is the guy that was banned last week (not for the 1st time) for a racist post, then calling a devoted member a liar (regard to racist post)when it transpired he was lying (good guy has left), and finally threatened a moderator(left also) with violence for proving he had lied to try to cover up his racist views. And guess what he's back as Celticlover.

 

It's basically down to principles and culture. We have a philosophy based on passing and attacking football, attractive and free flowing, wheras the huns are and will always be booters who believe in the philosophy of building from the back. Paradoxically the huns have had better keepers than us and until recently better defenders. All institutions need only defend their stance wheras the underdog has to attack. Or so I think anyway.
