Hibs are one of the better performers at CP, but a win here would help erase doubts and put the past form behind us. If we are secure at the back then I can see at least a 3-1 win. A win in this game then away to ICT would put a lot of pressure on the Orcs.

I would go with your team Henke but if Boruc is fit I would play him.

I just hope to * GS doesn't play Samaras

I'm going to say we'll gub them 4-1 and move 4 points clear.

Our most important league game of the season so far IMO. Teams used to * themselves at the thought of coming to Parkhead, now they relish it. We must play at a good tempo and pressure them from the start to knock their confidence, no slow sideways passing please. My team:BORUC(if fit), CADDIS, CALDWELL, LOOVENS, O'DEA, ROBSON, CROSAS, BROWN, McGEADY, McDONALD+VoH. I'd keep Robson, Crosas and Brown in the centre of the field with McGeady swapping sides to run at Hibs.

2-1 win for us. I can see Aberdeen giving them a doing over this weekend too as they'll be up for it, so here's hoping.

Well as long as certain strikers don't get the urge to fall over a lot in the penalty area, which they will. The wind is pretty strong up there you know.

I tell you this bhoys. . . I'm still hurting after sunday, Celtic need to get theyre act together on Saturday or I will be on the park booting testicles.

they owe us a performance on Saturday. As for the fans getting behind them at CP, if that happens it will be a first this season. However it is down to the team to generate some enthusiasm.

Must win this game. I'm not counting on Aberdeen to do us any favours against them. So we need to forget that game and make sure we do the job at home.

The defence is the biggest problem right now, we've got enough natural defenders in the team who can play, so rather no Robson at LB.
    Hinkle/Caddis, Caldwell, McManus/Loovens, O'dea.
A selection from that should see a solid enough defence with no one worrying about helping others too much.

If Boruc is fit enough, play him. Brown in goals is useless.
Midfield needs to see the return of Crosas. With Brown next to him. The standard Naka and McGeady on the wings. Wouldn't mind seeing Mizuno back in there though, maybe for McGeady at first.

Up front Sammy and Jan, was the best striking option at the start of the season. Don't think they've played much together since sammy got injured. Maybe bring some goals about.

Or a win by the Orcs at Aberdeen would put us under immense pressure, as we'd need a win to go back top. Swings and roundabouts.

Couldnt agree more with your team anth.In my opinion the midfield has been as much to blame as anyone for the ammount of goals conceded.Crosas provides much better cover and is far more likely to be involved in building the play(in the eight or nine games I have seen him in).

I think we must win this, but it is important to remember that the bad results recently have coincided with other teams really raising their game against us, combined with bad luck and defensive errors. Hearts, Dundee Utd., Hibs and Aberdeen all desrve credit for the way they have played in their recent matches against Celtic.
It is not an excuse, but an outsider would surely see this as a good thing, and the fact that we need to play even better against other SPL teams can only be good for our game.
Having said that, I do feel for Gordon in a way, as I think McManus does make a good captain and representative for the club, but has had some bad games. Not a dilema I would relish having to solve!!

What I'd like to see this game is a change in formation. In today's Scotsman:

"The Easter Road side were praised and criticised in equal measure after adopting an ultra-attacking 4-3-3 formation in the team's trip to face the SPL champions in October and he hasn't ruled out "having a go" again.

After going 2-0 down, Hibs battled back to 2-2 and appeared to have Gordon Strachan's side under pressure before succumbing to two late goals in a 4-2 defeat.

Paatelainen then opted for a completely different strategy against Rangers last month as his players sat back and frustrated their hosts before again receiving stick for their approach when they eventually went down to a solitary Kris Boyd strike."

Chances are good they'll adopt the same defensive formation they took against us last time, therefore I propose we make ourselves more attacking.

I'd like to see Celtic switch to a 4-1-2-1-2 form.

    Defense 4:
    LB: Hinkel
    CB: McManus
    CB: Caldwell*
    RB: Naylor*

    Defensive Midfielder 1:
CDM: Robson / Crosas (Sub Possibility)

    Wingers 2:
    RW: McGeady
LW: Nakamura / Mizuno (Sub Possibility)

    Attacking Midfieler 1:
    CAM: S. Brown

    Forwards 2:
    RS: McDonald
LS: Vennegoor of Hesselink / Samaras (Sub Possibility)

    * = Where we could use a good signing.

Really looking forward to the game tomorrow.can see us giving them a right hammering, but i think we'll need to keep riordan quiet if we want to win it cause i think he'll want to prove a point to strachan.as for the teams id go

    Boruc
    Wilson(if hinkel is injured)
    Caldwell
Loovens(but likely to be mcmanus to start)
Naylor(Id much prefer him to robson as LB,and if naylor is still out play misun)
    Naka
    Brown
    Hartley
    McGeady
    McDonald
    VoH

    Subs:
    Fox
    Samaras
    Mizuno
    McCourt
    McGinn
    Caddis
    Crosas

i must be the only person who likes Samaras, am i? i prefer him to VOH who has no mobility what so ever, if sammy had not got injured he would have been top SPL scorer by now!

Tend to agree Richmal. However, i find myself hoping we start with VOH and McDonald as i concur with the theory that They`re a better partnership and Skippy feeds off big Jan`s knockdowns and is likely to score more. That said, i would only expect Jan to last an hour before Sammy repaces him and bags a brace! Crucial game. Victory a must and to do so with abit of style would be most welcome to set a marker - only 15 games to go after this one.Defeat or a draw unthinkable regardless of Pittodrie result. 3 - 1 Celtic. Hail!Hail!
