no offense mate, you can say what ya want about his form ect but a dont no about never captain material. he is a born leader, no doubt, loves the club, absolutely no doubt, he represents the club superbly especially with things like tommy burns and phil o'd passin away, again no doubt.

a no i'll get slaughtered for this post cause the automatic response from alot of ppl will be that thats all well n good but no use if your * but a would come back at that and say he is a good player too. lots of heart, grit, determination, good tackler and so on. Yeh sure he has alot to work on but he is still a young guy with time to develop.

Have been saying for at least 2 years - Artur Boruc - current form not withstanding.

A captain must have an edge, be vocal, a big personality and rise to the big occasion.

Yeah he's a bit of a nutter but look at Aitken, Keane , Viera, Lennon etc!

 

I went for Gary Caldwell, 100% week in week out. Great role model, and leads by example.

I think browns still a bit inexperienced just now, Boruc i think needs to concentrate on gettin his form back just now, and putin him as captain would most likely put pressure on him.

Mcmanus could have been a great captain one day for celtic, but he was ruined by been given captaincy 5/6 years too early. Theres too much pressure on him!

 

I'd say Robson, level-headed when he needs to be and always gets tore in. A think his experience would be good too.

 

Scott brown is coming to my mind when I read this HAHA! 100% dog fighter and he could be a leader plus it would maybe calm him down a bit.

Brown is playing well and I wouldnt want to bog him down with the captaincy aswell, hes too young imo and still seems a bit hot headed. Although his passion and determination would make him a shoe-in in years to come.

Caldwell/ Hartley perhaps.

 

Hartley as he has the experience.

Give McManus a break t concentrate on his game.

 

Scott Brown for me, with the energy and passion he has had recently he would be a perfect candidate.

IMO Broony should get the armband, but would love to see Hartley, Caldwell or King Artur there too, all four guys are natural vocal leaders, something i think that is sadly missing right now, Big mick is a decent enough guy but i've said on here before had JFK not got his terrible injury Mick would be nowhere near the team never mind captain, sorry if it offends but the guy isn't up to the task, never has been never will be.
