So McManus made a mistake, whoop-de-*-do EVERY player makes mistakes. What sorts the good players from the bad is the ability to deal with it and move on.

Mcmanus isnt good enough no. Neither are half that team.

Not often I back Strachan but he is picking his best team. Theres not one thing he should have done differently today. He is doing a grand job with what he's got.

I'm sure if he was allowed to go and buy better players he would. I think the problem is that Lawell is not wanting to spend the money. Which is fair enough when you look at the state of the huns. Just * me off that he continually comes out saying how great our finances are. Its just been a while since wee have put any money back into the first team squad.

 

i wouldnt go as far as to say that the other 11 of them played *. Samaras made good use of the ball but was unable to score and mcgeady played awryt on that wing

 

yeah i know that davie i like mcmanus and i do think he is a decent player just noticeing that he isnt playing too well at the moment.but he isnt the only one you know?

I agree mate, but McManus doesn't seem capable of moving on. Too often he's the reason we've conceded goals.

Look at all the world-class centre-back partnerships. Terry-Carvalho, Ferdinand-Vidic, Maldini and pretty much all Italian defenders he's played with... If they had a game like today, you can guarantee they wouldn't make the same mistakes ever again.

Our partnership doesn't seem to learn. IMO only.
