    Conjecture on my part but maybe the conflicting media stories aren't coincidence.

    2 notoriously tough negotiators in Lawwell and Levy who are both playing a game of chess to try get the upper hand.

    Levy leaking it down South to hype us fans up about a return and put Lawwell under pressure to do the deal.

    Lawwell leaking it up here that we're not all that bothered to make Levy panic that he's got a guy sitting on £60k per week while not being played in the next 6 months.

    I think this is a lot of * from Sky Sports to drum up interest on deadline day and a load of * from Spurs to try and get him out the door. Wont happen in my opinion.
