The Fratellis

I love them!

Their new album is immense!

They are probably the best band in the world right now IMO.

One of the best 3 pieces of all time.

I've been playing a lot of their stuff on the accoustic & it's really, really nice to play - I'm soo motivated to pick up my guitar again it's really very inspiring!

Jon Fratelli is a genius, although to sing & play in his quirky style is really very * hard.

The * plays the * piano, only to rub it in to us mere mortals.

He's a Celtic fan, so if your reading this Jon - throw us a bone!

i have to disagree with u ,very average band, there new album was pish, my friend john was the only half decent song!!!!

when ur talking about a 3 piece band, the jam are in another league from the fratilies

 

There first album was good not so keen on there 2nd.

 

Ok may be showing my age a bit lol...but the BEST power trio in rock ever are CREAM...Clapton, Bruce & Baker....now that is what you call a band!!

 

Yeah , there my favorite band and they could be releasing two new albums next year hopefully !

as for the fratellis they dont do it for me, actually i think they're pish and their songs are quite annoying

 

No-one else is writing stuff like the fratellis at the mo, they are completely original sounding & no-one else sounds like them.

KOL are ok, but fairly generic.

Cream, ok one of the 1st if not THE 1st SuperBand - but surely The Jimi Hendrix Experiance is, was & will always be the best ever 3 piece band?

The Fratellis 2nd album is excellent - Lupe Brown & Acis Jazz Singer are soem of the best pop/rock songs in ages.

 

Quite a few people have been raving about them , the most i can do is give them a listen and see where they stand.

 

I really like their second album actually, I think Babydoll is a brilliant song!:icon_mrgreen:

 

i love jimi and the experience but i think cream are actually a better band imo. experience had some amazing songs but a lot of very average stuff too, i like all creams albums

 

You won't regret it mate, I a newly converted supporter, I've never seen them live though - so I canny coment on their live act, but both albums a re well, well worth a download!!

If you play guitar, especially accoustic, you will love to play their songs - that's reallly why I like them, they're also pretty quirky & have quite witty lyrics.

 

Jon didn't want to put that in the album, but the band talked him into it!

The * says that if he can't write a song in 15 mins, he chucks it in the bin - makes me * puke my * oot ma mooth!!!

One of the most talented singer/songwriter/guitar/piano playing/celtic supporting * out there!

I'll check them out a bit more then mate, I'm a Eric Clapton fan, but more so his Blues stuff.

For an accoustic player this stuff is immense, but unfortunately waaaay out my league.

Jon Fratelli is good, but he's got a long way to even come close to Clapton - that may be a reflection on music today, but in todays artists I really rate Jon Fratelli as a song writer, guitar & piano player & as a singer - you don't seem to get that type of creativity as much nowadays, that's why I like him so much!

This song is great to play along with, it's really quirky & his add libbing in place of the other guitar is really good for someone like me to learn from, hardly anyone can do this * nowadays & then do it with a piano.

I can play Layla on accompyment, but can't sing along with it - need to practice, but it's too hard!
