  1. but would we not get him for nothing as he is a free agent!! id like to get a proven player for nothing instead of rushing in a signing before the cl deadline plus this lad Misun sounds promising for next year.

  2. He would do a job for us but the lad Misun is there already ,dont say he is to young or inexperiened ,the only way he will get experience is by playing him ,,got to take gambles in this game.

  3. Would take the guy in a minute, full of experiance, played in a champions league final a few months back.

So what he is 34, lubo was 33 just what we need, hope this happens.

  4. Really hope this happens, its Silvinho FFS, his Wiki also states that he is close to a move to celtic if he can prove he still has what it takes, this could be the coup of the season for us, i have watched him for a few years now and i haven't seen any inidcation that his stamina or work ethic are to be questioned :)

  5. Kinky *

  6. Also long term injury Rab.

  7. Can't find any developments on this, has anyone else found anything?

  8. It's a no brainer lets get him signed, think we have until 11pm today if we want to include him for next Wednesday. At least two seasons still in him, 34 years old and just played a CL final!

  9. According to the Evening Times it's not Sylvinho

  10. What worries me about the above article posted by danni Ghirl is that Cully believes Marek Cech's £12,500 per week wage demands are a stumbling block for us.

If that's true, then it's a shambles we're worried about paying out £12,500 per week for a left back.

Also if it's true it makes a mockery of the Sylvinho rumours.

And it makes a mockery of the board. Not prepared to pay a measly £12,500 per week for a position that has plagued us for the last four years?

  11. Just read the article uch well then dying to know who he is lining up to sign today. There keeping it all hush hush arent they

  12. I have a horrible feeling it'll be Mr No One, the Invisible Man

    :31:

  13. For me Slyvinho seems like he could be the perfect player for a season or two.

The fact that he wants to come & is out of contact mean I'll be pretty disappointed if it is anyone else, becasue I doubt we will get anyone else of this standard.

  14. the problem i have is that sylvinho will see us as a retirement home and not give everything hes got, i seen in his last year in the new camp he wasnt as quick and fast as the previous year, by the time he comes here, he may well only give half of what he is cabable of, i believe he would be good for a year, but id rather a younger hungrier player.

  15. Aye, its always a worry he might see it as a last pay cheque but from what I've read about the guy I think hes still got the passion.

We've already got Milan Misun & Luca Santonocito who both seem young, hungry and talented. Think that Sylvinho would be a good choice until they have more experience and who would be a better mentor for them that a Champions League winning left-back?

  16. Guys hes 34 he aint up to much anymore, shud go for young blood like Tamas

  17. Would be a good signing for us, hope hes th eman Mowbrays on about

Does 'not being up to much' include playing for the winning team in a Champions League Final two months ago?

As for Tamas, why would we sign another centre back when it's left back we're talking about. Also, Tamas was caught drinking alcohol during training.

  18. the guy was good enough to play for barcelona, the european champions, in the final of the champions league. we need him to stop teams like falkirk, kilmarnock. if anything it will give us another year to find a long term sloution. and he could mentor young misun and turn him into a decent player
