Samaras...

Not convinced by this guy. Fair enough he gets a few goals, but when he's not scoring, he doesn't add a lot to the side. He's far too deliberate in his play and he hasn't got a lot of pace. Take today for instance, he didn't score and didn't do anything to influence the game. He takes too long on the ball and gets caught in posession too often, and he doesn't win enough in the air. Skippy obviously doesn't like playing with him, and that has been reflected in the number of goals he's scored this season. Personally, when VOH is fully fit, I'd get him back into the side because his and McDonald's partnership, for me, is much more effective. Even in VOH doesn't get as many goals, his winners in the air at least give something for Skippy to feed off. What does everyone else think? And would you prefer VOH-McDonald or Samaras-McDonald or VOH-Samaras?

 

hes *, but he has scored some important goals for us so i wont criticise too much.

 

the guy has his moments and has gid aerial power but has been totally off form since his return from injury

 

hes good to bring on and change it if its going poor but 90 mins of football is to much for him hes all over the place

 

Before the injury, he was a beast. Look at him now...

 

he is useful, a squad player not a starting 11 player, if we buy any strikers better than him of course

He looked better when coming off the bench last season I think its time to repeat that for now. I would love to see Jan and McDonald back together as they had created a good understanding. However I am biased as I have never rated Samaras, labelling him clumbsy and useless. .

 

he has absolutley no first touch... i dont think anybody can disagree with that.. and he never looks up for skippy... always wants to shoot... he's also very very lazy...

have to agree with you there... but i have to amit i thought he was a very good player when he first came...

 

I have stated this over and over and over.... Sammy is a * joke, even when he was on form he wa sa * joke. The sooner Big Jan is back to his best the better. Not only is sammy * but when he plays wee skippy plays * also, there is no link between the two. Sammy is a bench player like he was last year, even that's pushing it.

To lazy he has been found out big time imo also looked out of his depth in europe hopefully big Jan gets his chance again much better player than Samaras.

I think he's a bit of a Berbatov look-a-like, but without the class and ability.
