Can see Vegas winning it now.

A statement that would have been farcical last summer.

  2. The * Vegas Golden Knights.

Expansion franchise, made up of cast offs from other teams across the league. Defeat the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 to win the Western Conference, and advance to the Stanley Cup final.

This is the NA sport equivalent to the Leicester City story a few years ago. We are watching history.

    OVI * DID IT!

Caps win 4-0 over Tampa (fuuucking ayyyye) in game 7 to advance to the cup final against Vegas. What a final, Ovi with a chance to finally cement his legacy, and Vegas with a chance to do what no team in sports history has ever done.

A shame hockey doesn't get the exposure it could or should, cause this is an absolutely historic final coming up.

Vegas basically doing a Leicester, except even crazier circumstances. Unreal...

I think given the parity in the NHL these days that Leicester's achievement was still more impressive. It's an achievement nonetheless though.

Kind of torn now. I'd like to see Ovi win it but I'd also love to see the meltdown from the traditionalists if Vegas takes it.

  4. I hope Vegas win.

First season in the league and they’re in the final. The stuff of dreams.

  5. Caps take game 4, 6-2. Now up 3-1 in the series. They've dominated the last 2 games in Washington, now heading back to Vegas with a chance to win their first Cup in franchise history.

    Ovi got his cup.

  7. Can't remember ever being as happy for a player outside of Boston winning the cup, as I am for Ovechkin. The epitomy of passion.

Absolute pumping for the Bruins at the Caps. 7-0 so far and two fights.

Ducks 1-1 at Sharks just now. Sharks unlucky not to be about three up. Gibson saving the Ducks in goal.

Some game in the end. Gibson monumental in goal to keep the Ducks in it. 14 shots saved in the second. Finished 5-2 to the Ducks.

    Elias Pettersson is legit.

Can't wait to see how he develops as the season goes on.

Just watched Chicago v Toronto. Ended up 7-6 to the Leafs, 19 seconds into OT. The last few minutes the score went 4-5, 5-5, 5-6, then Chicago equalised to make it 6-6 with 28 seconds of regular time left. What a game.

Chicago's second goal was brilliant, too.

    Mon the ducks!

Home opener and the retro third kit is immense.

Ducks are on a 4 game losing streak after a great start to the season. Can't keep relying on Gibson just saving everything, need to be more clinical in attack.

  15. Record might not show it yet, but the Bruins have started very uninspiring. Still a one line team, and really missing guys like McAvoy and Krug on defence.

Rask really needs to start playing like the top tier goalie he’s being paid as.

    Elias Pettersson is ridiculous.

9 goals and 15 points in 9 games. At 19 years old.

Ducks finally end a 6 game losing streak, beating the Blue Jackets 3-2. Thank goodness for that.

Ducks 5 game winning streak comes to an end. Blaming the dodgy officials. :fear:
