    a friend is looking for a new laptop, just for browsing and college work, no gaming etc...budget is £300 ish..

    argos curries etc..any info?

    Most laptops at that price are pretty pish from the likes of argos currys etc.

    For a decent dual core processor and min 2gb RAM you are going to be £350+.

    Might be able to pick a decent one up through ebay or some random website for £300ish.
