  1. my thoughts exactly.

  2. * myself at Raswaz.:56:

  3. :31: u must be avin a laugh!! mizuno instead of mcgeady??:52:

  4. I don't get it, you know it's Celtic he plays for? You don't get a dozen games to settle into the first team and find your feet, it's instant(rightly or wrongly).

The russian who scored on Weds night-18.

At 22/23 Mizuno is all he'll ever be, mediocre. End of

  5. didn't think he was great today, was too lightweight for big defenders and his first touch was pretty poor.
overall i don't think he's terrible but just okay.

  6. That's kind of a silly no-brainer statement to make. Of course McGeady has done more than Mizuno.
On the whole, McGeady *should* be a better footballer than Koki. He certainly has more ability. But the reality is that... as far as end product... unless Aiden unfks himself in the near future, he's really no better than any of our reserve wingers. If there is one thing Koki has excelled at throughout his career, it's providing service. Aiden should be better -- but until he stops acting like a child he just isn't.
He'll always be a fan favorite because he's "Irish" and can dribble... but that just about sums up his resume. He has no shot, his cross is barely better than the likes of Naylor, and he rarely passes -- unless it's back to Naylor.

IMO, Mizuno is a typical confidence player. He performs when he gets chances -- how long has it been since he's had any real chance at Celtic? I'm not saying he deserves a run in the team, but he needs a run in somebodys' team if he's going to be any good.
Anyway, I don't think Scottish football fits him very well. He'd be better off on the continent somewhere. He'd fit right into any number of teams in Eredivisie or Ligue1 as a winger, or as a primary substitute in Bundesliga.

  7. That's his pre-season.

A good chance til show his ability for the new manager but Koki Mizuno have been the biggest disapointment this pre-season, and is far from the starting-line-up.

Maybe his a better footballer than this. But he have to show that before he getting minutes on the pitch.

  8. Pretty much said everything about them two. If Mowbray decides to let Mizuno play, it might press Aiden to work on his game, in fear of losing the wing spot permanently.

couldnt of put it any better :50:

  9. I'm sure when he joined he'd have liked to have forced his way into the first team by now as a regular starter. The clock is ticking, he's 24 this year. I've no doubt there is ability there, he looked good in the reserves last season but the step up to the 1st team appears to be a bridge too far for him. At the moment he's no threat whatsoever to McGeady and Maloney and unless he ups his game fairly dramatically, I can see him either looking to move on or be offloaded by next summer.

  10. What's silly about it? It's a factual statement, Aiden McGeady is a better player than Mizuno will ever be and I know that because i've watched them both numerous times. An entire season of reserve football and I couldn't tell you one instance of a goal from a Mizuno cross which is quite something considering he is supposedly a 'servide provider'.

To suggest McGeady is no better than any of the reserve wingers is ludicrous. Yes he has shortcomings that every one is aware of but he is our most gifted winger. Suggesting he is loved because he is 'Irish' as well is also wide of the mark, he is actually the most scrutinised player in the squad as far as I can see along with Mick. Might be down to the fact they are both fans and products of the youth system or it might just be coincidence.

  11. The 2 bolded statements do not mean the same thing. The first one is not correct, the second one is. Mizuno's a team player, and has good crosses, which makes him the better choice for Celtic's main winger. McGeady has more talent, but he doesn't show it, and hasn't built on it.

  12. Who would you say is Celtics best winger then ?
IMO mizuno is our fourth best winger behind McGeady , Maloney and McCourt. Infact id have Barry Robson out there instead of him. Iv already said this but why can Mizuno not get past a full back , not once have i seen him skin a full back and get a cross into the box.
I think the reason he was bought was to keep the Celtic image big in Asia once Nakamura left.

  13. Maloney is the best, followed by Mizuno. And we can't keep our image big if Mizuno isn't playing.

  14. McGeady is a better and more talented player than Mizuno, being from Japan doesn't mean he's instantly a world beater you have to look beyond the nationality of a player. Where McGeady has won football matches almost single handedly like Aberdeen at Pittodrie and Benfica at Parkhead Mizuno hasn't even put in a match winning performance in a reserve game yet.

  15. there is something wrong with your head mate if you think mizuno is better than mcgeady and mccourt, and stop kissing his * because he is japanese

  16. He constantly had very many assists in reserve matches. And goals, too. McGeady doesn't know anything besides dribbling, and that's why I'll never say he deserves a first team place.

  17. mcgeady was at the top of the assists list in his POTY season with 16 assists naka was top last year with 10

  18. He doesn't constantly provide very many assists, Paddy McCourt is the best player in the reserve squad by a distance - scoring and assisting far more than Mizuno does.

  19. That's then. Now, he's better for 5-a side footie, than for the real one.
