  1. Hello bhoys and ghirls,
I have a question to ask all of you.
Is Massimo Donati staying with us or is he leaving?
Because, he seems to be doing very well with the new man in charge.
I would like to see him stay he could be vital for us but I would like to know is he going to get a chance?

  2. Hes staying with us, if given the opportunity i think he could do really well but he will be playing back up ti nguemo and scott brown when hes back from injury, no doubt about that.

There is still parts of donatis game he needs to improve on, diving is 1 and slack passing is another, a few times last night he gave away stupid passes, also did this against cardiff, having said that i hope he stays at the club as i think he is much better than crosas:50:

  3. hope he goes, getting paid too much to sit on bench. brown and nguemo and robson be ahead off him. i think we c best crosas this year if giving a chance

i think he's an ok player. to me i dont think he belongs in midfield
to long on ball, always turns into a player this is a school boy sin
if he keeps doing that he'll loose the ball and going in for a tackle
    seems a bit soft
maybe midfield to busy for him, mabey just off the front 2 might be
    better for him

  5. I still like Donati think he can do wonders in our midfield and I think he will get the go ahead of this new guy nguemo. I think he will improve and could become a great player

  6. Donati and n'guemo weren't great last nite. Al Ahly were very poor so they were'nt tested much. Roll on scott browns comeback. Robson and Brown 1st choice IMO.

Wouldn't be sad to see Donati going! He's a good player but is he celtic quality??

  7. Could be like the Daniel Cousin thing. Give him a few games to put him in the window then get a nice fee from an English club.

  8. Robson is gone, i cant see him getting a look in, he doesn't fit mowbrays style of play, no chance mowbray going to go back to strachan style of midfield, which was proved when he told hartley to hit the road. We need to get away from players like these, roll on nguemo, crosas brown and donati.

  9. N'guemo was way too weak last night and that was against a poor poor team. Donati looked out of his depth and their midfield was shocking. Crosas has alot to prove to be honest. I don't want to see the strachan way again but a stronger midfield is required IMO.

  10. I think that's absolute tosh.

I thought Donati played some excellent stuff, spraying the ball about from left to right. He may be about to take his second chance. On the whole, for 65 minutes before the subs came on, we were very impressive in all departments. N'Guemo weak? He misplaced a couple of passes, but he was fairly imposing I thought.

OK it was against a poor side, but 5-0 is 5-0.

By the way- it'll be Donati and N'Guemo in the centre v Dinamo for sure, I don't think Brown will be risked.

    Cheer up Buddy, Hail Hail

  11. I reckon he is a talented player but doesnt show enough consistency and drive, dont go by his showing yesterday, he was the same last season, started well and then poor, i wish he would come good, but i cant see it!

  12. Seconded :50:

  13. I don't understand what Donati did wrong yesterday. He scored a cracking goal, and was spraying passes about, finding his man and looking very much like a guy who has found his confidence.

I wasn't his biggest fan but I'm willing to give him a second chance. He's looked very good pre-season.

    There's no denying that.

  14. He has good passing technique but seems to have the heart of a sparrow. The new guy looks more of an out and out sitter so I think Brown or Robson woud compliment him better. Donati is a funny player - not defensive enough to be a sitter but not mobile enough to be attacker. I think Donati is the sort of player who would be good as the main midfield general in a smaller team like Hibs or Hearts but is not quite good enough in his locker for Celtic.

The manager says they all start with a clean sheet so there can be few complaints from any of them

  15. Well said.

I like Robson- he did us a great turn and I'll always be thankful, and I've no doubt he won't let us down if required.

But the way forward is the players you mention.

    Without a doubt.

  16. You don't agree then, I take it, that he has looked impressive pre season, and is perhaps ready to take the chance Mowbray has given him?

I don't know about you, but I watched the entirety of the Cardiff and Al-Ahly matches, and he looked mobile enough to me with the majority of his long range passes finding his man.

He looks to be offering us a more expansive game at the minute. I hope he keeps it up.

  17. Time had just caught up on Hartley but without him I dont think we would have done our CL last 16 runs and also his type was needed in OF games. He was immense in those games and also for Scotland in our 'nearly' qualification great run.

Crosas has yet to prove he can cope with SPL type football where there is not an inch to move. As for Robson, I think he is a very good player and if he had been fit we may well have won the league last year. Him and Hartley won us our last title in the run in. My first choice last year would have been Robson and Brown because they both can attack but are also hard as nails.

  18. he is a good player but not suited for the spl! i still think he will get punted tbh?

  19. If that's the case, why has Mowbray elected to start him against Cardiff and Al-Ahly? If he was planning on selling him, you'd have thought he'd start someone else (Mizuno? McCourt? Flood? Crosas?) what with the Dinamo game coming up so quickly.

I fully believe the starting line ups in those two matches is what we'll see against Dinamo.

I doubt Mowbray would be planning on punting him if that is the case.
