Looks like they are building a squad here to push for the top 4 in La liga ,

Rvn signed up and now Jeremy Toulalan already looks like they have decent squad with a fantastic manager in Manuel Pellegrini as it was now adding key players and great ones at that can see them doing well this season .
    :50:Rvn will tear it up:celt_2:

They have 100 mio € to spend on players this season.

  3. Reports in Spain are there is no budget they want to make a massive statement and are trying to lure Javier Matías Pastore ,Santi" Cazorla etc been linked too.

  4. :88: Did they get a takeover or something?

German sources reported they wanted to spend at least 100 mio for players like Cazorla, Joaquin etc. They want to become the new number 3 in Spain.

Gonna be interesting to see what's happening.

  6. Owned by a billionaire.

Lucho Gonzalez deal could be close to too , him and Jeremy Toulalan as a pair in the engine room not bad at all .

They are paying Rvn 6million euro a year .

Much prefer a team to grow in a more organic way.

Like Villarreal over the last 10 years. Never spent too much money. But bought wisely.

  10. Was working in Spain for a couple months this summer, the bar a worked in, in Marbella Julio. Baptista would come in every weekend, great guy and loves his mojitos, but him and the other players at malaga think they are gonna do well this season

  11. will be interesting to see how la liga pans out next season. no doubt barca and real will be top 2, in that order. valencia need to sell, most likely it will be mata that goes. sevilla arent what they were a few years ago. athletico madrid werent up to scratch and they look like they are losing aguero. and with malaga spending huge money, anything is possible.

  12. Good luck to them, but money dosent always bring success look at Schalke this season and didnt Real Betis go on a spending spree a few years back? Hard to motivate players that just go to a club for the money.

  13. I go there on holiday and remember that the city went nuts when they got promoted. i wanna see them do well and Van Nistelrooy is a great signing.

  14. As much as the cash injection might not be looked at as a good thing from all concerned, at a time when finances in spanish football are getting strained it's an amazing coup for Malaga to get this sort of backing.

Reason I've kinda dragged this post back up is that it was already here and it's just been on TalkSport that they wouldn't rule out a £50m bid for Tevez.. :O

  15. dont see it happeining but van Nistelrooij and Tevez would be a great front 2

  16. They want a big player they made a offer for Wesley Sneijder his agent knocked it back does not want to go to them same with Pastore .

  17. This can all change though.. nobody really wanted to go to City 2 years ago, then a 3rd place finish and Champions League football has changed all of that.

I think they're happy with the squad they have and will only spend if the player is right for them.

Just been reading about him, he's also bought a port in Marbella and plans to invest €400m over the next 4 years in to that as well.

Also stadium expansion is on the cards.

Good luck to them. Hercules tried it last year with Drenthé and Trezeguet etc.. but it never quite worked out for them.

  18. Santi" Cazorla could maybe more to them but he says he is happy with Villareal reported they want to offer 20/30 mill euro for him.

They have absolutely no chance of being the 3rd team in Spain any time soon.
