Ledley

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Mark1978, Aug 14, 2010.

  1. Dont care tbh, aslong he does it well then what does it matter. As a couple of you have probably guessed from previous posts im a big fan of ledley and think he'll be massive for us this season and beyond. His passing and control is second to none and i think what we saw today is only the start of whats to come from him.

He is a bit too reliant on that foot but if he is good with it then so be it.

I don't mind at all, he is so composed and classy on the ball and it's nice to have a player we actually have confidence in when he picks up the ball that he will find a hooped shirt, such an improvement on brown...get kayal in there now Lenny

i suppose he probably does alot off the ball, but so far he hasnt done anything to stand out for me, I hope he makes a bigger impact as there is no doubt hes a quality player and will be vital throughout the season

he is in no doubt a good player from watching him in some outings for cardiff and wales, after watching him today how much passion in his face when he plays like when he missed those chances and when he nearly ripped down the goals when we fluffed an opportunity he really wants to get into it, let him gel with team and he will be ace, just hopes he gets a settled team round him (ie drop brown and bring in jaurez and please play him through the middle) anyway if he plays well, one footed wonder, who cares...

Usually give someone 5 games to impress but not impressed so far:38:

  10. so he's one-footed so what hes built a solid reputation down south with that one foot, plus hes calm and composed couldn't give a toss bout his lack of using his right!

Can't say I noticed the left foot preference thing. It seemed to me that he was thinking about his positioning before touching the ball and it looked pretty fluent to me. If he has got a handicap in some way with his right, he's found a good way of compensating for it. A think that drove me mad last season was our midfield not protecting the ball and giving away posession cheaply. If this lad can hold the ball and distribute it well, I'm a happy man.
