I liked kayal. He seemed to go from first team regular to nowhere overnight and for no obvious reason.

He's a real battler, which is ideal in the championship. Was at Boro vs Brighton last day of the season a few months ago and he was the best player on the park.

    Just don't let him shoot!

Always rated him when he first signed he was immense, then a think he got injured against rangers and had a bit of time out after that, he came back and found it hard to get back into the team, could be doing with a player of that type in the centre of our park just now, a didnt think he waz given a proper run of games when he came back from injury, good luck to him and good luck to brighton for promotion :50:

I suspect he ate tomato sauce whilst at Celtic so got bombed out. However Chris Houghton strikes me as a football orientated coach so you can continue to see great things from Kayal

    * shocking tackle that. Could hear the impact from where I was sitting. Am I right in saying the * wasn't even booked?

1st season Kayal was immense getting dug into every tackle and getting right into the oppositions face every time they had the ball, like others have says he was never the same for us after that dirty * McCulloch gave him a bad yin

Kayal was one of our most valuable players, he was tenacious. Then in a game vs the old team he was cruched by McCulloch and didn't fully recover. Always felt like he was more shy and less brave than his usual self, whether it was mental or physical.

His early displays were immense. Regularly performing 8 or 9/10 every week. His injury really did scupper him though.

I would guess he would look better in the Championship due to his battling qualities and he likes to get stuck in. He done it well up here but on the ball I always thought he lacked a bit, which was more noticeable as we have the lions share of possession in just about every game we play.

Lennon managed him badly, playing the likes of Mulgrew in the middle ahead of him was criminal. Never got the chance to get a run of games going when he was injury free. Saying that injuries did * him over a bit.

Very good midfielder on his day. Sad to see that it didn't work out with him here. He's a level above Brighton imo.

Was let go too soon. And as others say, wasn't given proper role again after injury. Was my favourite in the Hoops!
