John Kennedy

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by canary, Jul 26, 2008.

  1. :bbpd:As a norwich city fan I'm quite optimistic about potentially getting young Kennedy on loan.

Is he any good? Thanks guys/gals

Its nice to be here BTW:50:

  2. i think he's class, never the same after his injury though, and he would most definitely get injured during the season, if he went an injury free season, he would be immense.

  3. thanks mate :)

    hail hail :50:

  4. Yes really good player hope he gets his old form back before he got injured if he is going there hope he does well for your team, and good luck for this coming season :50:

  5. before losing several seasons to injury I think he was the most naturally talented young CB to come through the ranks in decades. He had everything-he was great in air, had speed, agression, skill and an aura of leadership and to top it all he was very young then. However, he doesnt look the same player now and seems to have suffered a huge loss of mobility in general. Hopefully thats not permanent. After several years AWOL he was only back in 1st team action for a few months before he was injured again. My gut feeling is the injury has limited him and robbed him of a top level career but I hope I am wrong.

Good prospect if he stays injury free if not then i think we could be seeing the last of JFK sadly feel so sorry for him, if he went to norwich and never got injured his confidence would go sky high....plus if Ganea still plays for wolves probably get sent off for nutting him and kicking him the face its what he deserves after all :celt_2:

  6. Sounds like he'd do very well for us. Come on Glenn lets go get him:icon_razz:

Good luck for this coming season (i've always preferred you guys to the blue scum)

  7. oh yeah, its an official done deal now

  8. When he came through the ranks, I thought we had a Beckenbauer on our hands. He could walk the ball out of defence against some of the best in the business. Good luck, John. Come back to us fully fit and you'll walk into the team.

  9. i think i can speak for us all when i say, we like you.

without a doubt if he was not robbed of two critical years of his development due to a disgusting challenge, he would of been one of the best defenders in Britain atm. he is still very good but still needs to get a majority of a season under his belt to fulfill the potential he still has.

  10. link please mate :celt_2:

  11. Big John is an enthusiatic honest lad.

He is no more than decent though, and i think people are over hyping him by far.

He will do a job for you in the championship though, and i wish him well

  12. arite mate welcome.jk is a strong good tackling and good in the air he has been unlucky with injurys .so you will sign a good player and i hope the more games he plays the more confident he will get. hope you guys get promoted this year.

  13. JK seems like a good player. Hopefully he'll do a very good job for us.

If he does come on loan to us we'll send him back a much better player :icon_mrgreen:

  14. footy latest .com has confirmed his loan to us until Jan

I am one very very happy canary this morning!!

  15. id love to see him do it but it would be nearly impossible to have a decent career after the injurys he's been through.
was he with the reserve squad for pre season as he didnt feature at all for the first team

  16. Dunno M8 , probably didn't play as a precaution , due to the imminent loan deal

  17. was he not with motherwell training for a while ?

  18. If you get a fully fit John Kennedy you'll be signing a decent big centre half that would waltz the Championship.

The fact his career has stuttered due to that * Ganea has lost him a yard of pace last time we got a glimpse of him in the hoops. Fingers crossed he gets back on track because he had the potential to be a Scotland stalwart and no one works harder than he does by all accounts.
