  2. 'Jim' O'Brien is an irish footballer who plays right Midfield and forward. He is currently on loan to dumfermline from celtic . O'Brien made his senior footballing debut in Dunfermline's 3-2 scottish cup victory over the huns on 7th of january 2007. He had previously only played for Celtic's youth.
Although born in Scotland he has decided to represent the Republic of ireland internationally and is a current member of their under-19's squad.
Along with fellow Celtic player ryan conroy, he attented Our Lady and St Patricks High School in Dumbarton.
He scored his debut senior goal in the 4-1 Dunfermline athletic victory over Motherwell on may 7th 2007.

So he is 19 he is midfielder/forward he made 18 apps for dumfermline probably most of them as a sub and scored 1 goal but he played in a rubbish side which ment he probably didn't play as well as he could have.

Played well enough for Dunfermline but will find it tough at Celtic I reckon.

  4. the majority (if not all his games) for Dunfermline were from the start. He played out right for them and him and the Liverpool lad Hamill were two of the main reasons they got to the final and nearly stayed. Looks a decent prospect.

PS was quality when they knocked out the Huns

  6. hm hes finishing is really good he just needs to be use to big games. He might be able to replace naka when eg naka has played alot of games in a short time I think it's time naka had someone he could fall back on when he is puffed out.

  10. Well, i've seen a handful of reserve games he featured in as well as a couple with dunfermline. He is neat and tidy and not bad but is really one paced which usually stops an attacker progressing to the top. I think he could play for most middling SPL teams now but cant see him making it here.

  11. Last goal was a cracker, some run.

  12. His finish against Peterborough was class

  13. Wow nice moderation! Remind me never to ask an opinion on this 'discussion forum'!!!

  14. Cant see him being anything more than a squad player but he could become better as the season goes on :celt_2:

  15. yeh i agree i think the lad will improve!

  16. He will et some playing time i think at the start of the season as Naka will need a good months rest

  17. Hopefully a nice backup to McGeady!

  18. How bad is he then:84:
