JFK

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by rabt1888, Sep 19, 2008.

  1. I see on the BBC Website that John Kennedy has done his ankle ligaments playing for Norwich last night !!

Its a shame for the big man, if he wasnt injured he would have been in the team for sure. Burley was watching him for the Scotland squad as well, so he must have been doing a turn for them down there.

I am wondering if the big man will ever get fully fit, * Romanian * !!!!

  2. there is only one JFK

  3. That really is a great shame for Kennedy. I fear this could be it for him as a Celtic player. The club have really stood by him but there comes a point when a player is constantly injured where the club has to move on such as with Craig Beattie.
Hope he can battle back from this latest set back but it's not looking good for him as a Celtic player sadly.

  4. * sake - when i heard how well he had been doing for Norwich i was absolutely delighted...horrendous news. That's him finished with us now. Ganea has a lot to answer for.

On a lesser note (and without meaning to sound mercenary in any way) we'll also be picking up his wages again too.

    Double *.

  5. he must have been playing well, recall him to *! does anyone know how long he'll be out

  6. awwww, i think its time to give it up. There is only so many injuries you can get, real shame cause he was good for us when he was younger.

  7. I really thought John Kennedy was going to be a star player for us before he got injured because of that scumbag

Poor guy sad to hear about that, he just doesn't seem to have much luck if this all continues i can see him retiring at an early age hope not, hopefully he comes back from this one to all the best big man. :50:

  8. I'm sure he will have the strength to come back from this.

  9. Terrible news no matter how you look at it. Gotta feel for him.

  10. * news, was genuinely gutted to hear it.

He might never have been able to come back and play for Celtic but, by all acounts, he had grafted to get himself fit again.

  11. I know its easy to say this but JFK was going to be the best celtic CB in decades before his big injury. He had everything. He hadnt put a foot wrong in all the games he played at CB for us and was fast tracked into the Scotland team because he was so good. Tragic but he could still have a career. This injury is not direclty related so hopefully he will be back in a few months.

He will still need to go to another club on loan and show what he can do without injury for many months before he can be considered for a recall here so time really is running out. One last chance IMO. Anyone know how long he is out for?

  12. Big John has no luck at all!!!

I wish him a speedy recovery.

  13. Shame for the the big man, really thought he was the scottish John Terry, untill he got that shocking tackle from Ganea (spelling)

Hope he comes back, but dont think he will be the player he could have been.

  14. Totally agree with that first part m8.
Again, its easy to say but if he hadnt got that injury he would be our captain now, not Mick. Definitely a first pick anyway.
Hope he comes back again, good luck big man. :50:

  15. I think insurance will cover some of the costs, dunno what percentage though

  16. hes only out for 3 or 4 weeks apparently. There is no question that a JFK back to what he once was is far superior to any of the CBs we have at present. Unfortunately he didint look the same player on his comback run for us last season. Still, he was that good that I would keep patience with him a wee bit longer yet.
