Thomas Gravesen's Celtic's career is again under scrutiny after critical comments from manager Gordon Strachan at the club's Swiss training camp. "I won't work with him any more than I'll work with any of my players," said Strachan on the Hoops £2.2m signing.
"It's quite simple - Marcello Lippi always said if you tell a player four times where to be and what to do and they don't get it, then forget it.
"He got the same time as everyone else last year and it'll be the same again." <!-- E SF -->
Gravesen was the Glasgow side's most high-profile signing of 2006/07, but he failed to make the expected impact during Celtic's Double winning season.

The Dane was dropped from the Scottish Cup final squad and recently rejected the opportunity to move to Sheffield United.
And Strachan - who watched his team slump to a 4-1 friendly defeat to Young Boys of Berne - added: "You have to enhance your talent at Celtic because there are lots of talented people and the hungrier ones will be the ones who are successful."
Meanwhile, Derek Riordan accepts that he may have to consider his Celts future if he does not force his way into regular first-team action in the forthcoming season.
The former Hibernian striker netted seven times in 21 appearances last term but knows he faces stiff competition for a place up front with Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, Kenny Miller, Chris Killen, Aiden McGeady and Scott McDonald.
"I don't think I would have another season like last season," said the 24-year-old.
"I don't have a deadline in my head, but at the start of the season I want to see how the games are going and where I am in the manager's plans.
"Last season wasn't how I'd hoped - I wanted to play more games.
"I knew it would be hard to get a game when I came here," he added.
"But obviously I thought I would play more often. I expected that."
Celtic continue their pre-season preparations with games against Peterborough United and Queens Park Rangers on 13 and 15 July respectively.

looks like Gravesen is going to go and I think he should leave aswell :50:

"And coming through the door at Bramall Lane is Thomas Gravesen. The Blades will offer Celtic more than £3m for the teak-tough Danish midfielder. (People) "

More than £3m!?!? He has a poor season and we could make £800,000 profit on him? Sell sell sell

  4. I'll only believe it when I see it.
Getting rid of Gravesen is on a par with signing Kaka.
I hope for it, but feel that we're really just not that lucky.
I've a feeling that the baldy * (not the much talked about possiblenCB partnership of next season) is really self deluded & proud enough to stay & fight (my *) for his place.

Please Ghod, I'll give up on the Kaka delusions - if you let Gravesen * right off to *.

I can't believe you would have Gravesen ahead of the main stand side corner flag.:56:

Thomas Gravesen looks a step closer to the Parkhead exit door
The 31-year-old Dane has already been linked with Sheffield United this summer and his future remains unclear after comments made by manager Gordon Strachan during the club's pre-season tour of Switzerland.

Toulouse have ambitious plans to challenge Lyon's dominance of French football and are reportedly set to match Gravesen's £40,000-a-week deal.

Yep GTF as soon as possible ... The usual pathetic 1/2 a pass back... for a player at his "supposed status level", he is out his depth...

I just don't see where Gravesen cannot grasp the tactical side of the game.
He is being given specific instructions by Strachan and he is all over the place.
Get shot of him asap before he does any more damage.

  18. FFS leave the guy alone!! Yes the guy has not done well thus far at celtic, but he has said on 3 occassions hes deteremined to stay and fight for his place! Yes,he had a bad game against YB Berne, but he wasnt the only one!! I hate elements of the celitc support who after losing one game,or if a player plays a bad game, just jump on the players back!! Where you calling him a * when he scored in 2 major old firm games, or scored a hat-trick against st.mirren??
    * get behind the team, inlcuding Gravesen, and stop fault finding!!
How can the guy do any better, when as soon as he makes one mistake the whole of the british media and the majority of the celtic support get on his back!!Would any of yous,be able to perfrom under that pressure?
Look at petrovs first season,* knows what you guys said about him when he was playing dung!!
Your not "true" supporters if all you do is criticise
