FREE AGENTS

There must be more out there that could do us a turn. I know big JAN is one any others that anybody knows about.

 

There is Henri Camara, But then again would anyone want him to come back to Celtic? Maybe hes abit past it, but tis the only other striker apart from Big Jan I can think of..

 

Stephan Appiah, Sylvain Wiltord (he's ancient), Lauren (ex Arsenal), Kanu's contract expires soon. All old but those are all I can think of.

 

Pantelic was free agent untill he signed for Ajax yesterday. We could've snap him when his contract ran out on 1st of July. Too bad we never made a move.

All free agents have signed for some clubs this summer, I guess. The ones worth looking, that is. They become free agents by getting released by their clubs, which means they aren't good enough. Very few of them are worth of some attention, but most of them for clubs of lower quality than previous.

 

Oh ye I forgot bout Appiah being a free agent, He would be a great player! I thought he wouldv had a team by now though, thats been over a year hes been a free agent, to good a talent to waste away.. But we have been linked with him before & it fell threw so doubt we would make a move for him but you never no.. Wiltord wouldnt be a bad player to gamble on same with Lauren, but are they better than what we already have? Hmm.. Appiah is the best out of that list..

surely we could offer appiah a pay as you play deal like everton do with saha. clubs have backed out of signing appiah due to his knee problem and his overall fitness but if you look at the guy hes a monster. he must have some serious problem to remain unattached. if spurs are keeping ledley king on the books with his problems and didnt offer appiah a deal then he must really be screwed. he was so dynamite in football manager

Cant see us getting BoBo Balde back funny enough, After all the trouble Celtic went threw trying to get rid of him in the first place, Hes banned from Celtic Park anyway, Dont really know the full story, But know hes due Celtic money, so he wont be coming back here can assure you of that & as for Mark Viduka, Hmm.. not sure

 

Thats untrue, some players reject contracts as they dont think the offer is acceptable & wait for other clubs to come in with offers, just like our new signing ZZ

 

Zenden was a free agent. He left marsielle but dont know if he signed with anybody else. Im sure ther msut be more out ther.

 

True, but most players get released by not being offered new contract because they aren't needed anymore. There are exceptions, of course, like Zheng Zhi, Pantelic, Appiah etc. They usually sign contract with another club when they have 6 months left, when they can move freely without compensation. I guess our chance maybe lies in these guys who are unattached, but we have to look hard for good choices.

I hate feckin free agents. Their existence extends the parade of meaningless speculation that is the Transfer Window.

I'd like free agents to have to be signed in the normal transfer window.

And for the window to last about three hours a year. :icon_mrgreen:

 

i'm also an ajax fan so i'm happy he is joining ajax, cause i thibk he'll do just fine.. but celtic should have had a look on the guy.. they could hav out-bidded ajax for sure!..

is viduka still a free agent? it might be worth the gamble i guess,, sign him on a one year deal.. (as ajax did with marko pantelic) and he'll score for he bhoys for sure..
