Celtic Glasgow , Besiktas , and Parma Calcio are among those knocking on the door. Clubs from the English Championship have also sounded out the possibility. However, a parting of the ways between Rexhbecaj and Augsburg in the summer is by no means set in stone. The Fuggerstadt club has been trying to extend the Kosovan international's contract beyond 2026 since the winter.

    Irritations after losing starting place
A breakthrough has yet to be achieved. This is partly due to a difficult period in February. Rexhbecaj sat out the 0-0 loss against 1. FSV Mainz 05 due to illness and was subsequently benched by coach Jess Thorup. The left-footer did not play in the subsequent matches against RB Leipzig (0-0), Borussia Mönchengladbach (3-0), and SC Freiburg (0-0).

As a result, talks about extending his contract stalled. Rexhbecaj subsequently regained his starting place against Borussia Dortmund (1-0) and VfL Wolfsburg (1-0), which calmed the tension. Nevertheless, the 179-time Bundesliga player wants to explore possible alternatives and explore his options on the market.

If the parties fail to reach an agreement, a sale will likely take place in the summer. Entering the final year of Rexhbecaj's contract and risking a free transfer would be uncharacteristic of Augsburg. Rather, a transfer would generate millions in revenue, which could then be invested in a replacement

At least we're linked with a dm, so hopefully there is at least something in it and we are targeting someone in that position.

  5. Surely you don't mean 'A little less conversation' or 'it's now or never' on the matter.

Take a punt on him. If he is no good, then "Return to Sender."

Obviously, I am all in on this signing

Good to see us linked with DM's, could be a real sign of a chance of direction by the management in recognising the need for a capable defensive midfielder in the Champions League and for some of the tougher SPL games.

He's 6"0", and looks like he has a nasty side to his game too, with 10 bookings already this season.
179 games in the Bundesliga too. Pal of Engels.

    Could be something in this.

A decade of DM experience in a top league , perfect age to come in and do the business.
Anyone an idea on the likely region of the fee?

Describing a surname as ‘gobbledygook’ is quite hun-like.
