Crossing

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by greg2467, Feb 11, 2009.

  1. I was just talking to a few of my mates the other day and we were talking about some of the best crossers of the ball that have played or still play for Celtic.

Obviously Guppy, Thompson and Naka spring to mind straight away but I was just wondering what ye guys think. Who are the best crossers of the ball who played for Celtic in recent times?

  2. Lubo with both feet and, going back a bit further, Tosh McKinlay had a brilliant delivery from the left.

  3. didier agathe.

  4. Lubo, Thommo and Naka are the ones that spring to mind first. Agathe's crosses were quite poor I thought. They got better as time went on, but he lacked a bit of end product in the crossing department.

McGeady can have a brilliant cross at times.

  5. i was just messin. lubo thommo and naka are the three i think of

  6. I remember his cross for big pierre to header home in the 3-3 game at ibrox.

my first old firm game at ibrox :50:

Goram actually brought that up in yesterdays press conference with himself and Pierre. Said McKinlay's delivery was superb at that time which you can't disagree with.

  7. * :icon_mrgreen:

  8. When he was in the mood I always thought Petta had a good final ball in him.

  9. Lee Naylor's first season

  10. i was hoping crosas would live up to his name. :icon_mrgreen:

  11. Tosh McKinlay was the first one that came to mind.

Then i thought about John Collins.

  12. Can't believe nobody has mention Robson. Henrik had some cross on him to when he pick the ball up in wide areas.

  13. Best crosser of a ball I've seen in a Celtic jersey was Davie Provan.

  14. Maloneys no got a bad cross.

  15. Tosh McKinlay had the best cross in recent years.

  16. brian scott.... used to be the club physio for many a year. but the crosses he'd put in for packy bonner to warm up, where diferent class....hahaha

  17. Gary Caldwell has a great cross on him, the cross for JVOH goal vs huns last season was sheer class, always gets to the man

Larsson aswell, i member ma 1st CL game, vs lyon, big henke's crosses for Miller n Sutton..sublime

  18. First guy i thought of ,then tosh ,as a footballer i rated agathe but he was frustration to watch sometimes ,just his final ball let him down .

  19. Yeah, Robson's crosses are very underrated imo.
