A said yesterday in a post that we would probly sign a flood, mccourt, or a mizuno some 1 thats going for less than a chinese meal !!!! then it comes out that we have managed to sign the sought after highly rated zhang zhi or what ever the * his name is i cant judge the guy having never seen him play but it is just TYPICAL CELTIC AND TYPICAL LAWELL

We have lost most of our high earners and the money men have spent in the reign of 7 million>>>> usual

The board gambled and * up in january and now they have done the same once again>>>>>> korean market>>> chinese market not 1 big signing and we are actually weaker than what we were last year>> but we are playing better football because of the manager the players have got there hunger and there desire back something which was lacking last year under strachan!!!

I am disapointed as i feel we should have found a 2-3 million pound player to STRENGHEN but i am confident we are going to win the league but we should be aiming to get better!!!!

dont know how you can make out backing lawell would be like backing the kellys or whites tbh i despice the kellys and whites they nearly ruined the club lawell hasnt he has made the most of what we have.

    * sake there's no pleasing some people....Yes i'm sure we all would have loved another CB or forward..But C'mon the football has been pretty good with the team we currently have.

and if we need to. We Can and proberly will strengthen in January.

Ol Dermot has piled more than his fair share of cash inot Celtic so its not his fault. That is his money after all. Im as upset as most but no need to blame the dermot. We should have been trying harder to get players in but the last 2 years Celtic hace signed so many for the future and now its time they stepped up, since ther is n reserve league.

maybe if desmond owned a bigger stake in the club he would put more money in tbh he strolls abut thinking he owns celtic well in my opinion he does because in a few interviews he says he approaches oneil and strachan to become manager of celtic. so maybe he should back it up and put some money in for a new player.

I honestly and truly do share your frustration that we haven't brought in another 1 or 2 players. I doubt there is 1 single fan on this board who wouldn't have liked to see that.

The financial realities however are that Celtic have spent around £6million on players this summer. At a time when we have no Champions League money to look forward to, that is a lot of money to us. If you want to ignore that fact then that's up to you. But ignoring it will only make you get angry! Like I said I understand the frustration but you can't ignore the reality of Celtic's situation either.

I'd be curious to hear exactly what you think Peter Lawwell has 'promised' you that he hasn't delivered anway?

With celtic being a PLC it restricts the usage of one party pumping money into the business, the only real way to do it is by buying shares. Dermot cannot just come along and say here boys have 400mil.

On a side note, Celtic have out spent every other SPL club this summer as well as being able to keep hold of our best assets in McGeady, McDonald, Boruc, Hinkel, Brown and McManus, all of whom had strong speculation that they were away.

I honestly don't know what some people expect Celtic to do, we have to un-load some players before bringing anyone in, that's obvious, for all you know perhaps there was not much interest in the likes of Killen and Flood.

We are a team who did not qualify for the Champions league, we are a team playing in Scotland, where our closest rivals only real signing of the summer is a loan transfer. We work in a league where reserve football was cancelled because most clubs could not afford to continue it, yet for some dillusional reason a number of people believe we should be signing more and more. On the back of that, our tv deal (small as it was) failed to pay out and our only offer was a massive reduction on the agreed terms from Setanta.

In a world where the like of AC Milan and Valencia can be skint we should be happy that our board want us to live within our means. If that means you don't get the holywood signings then I suggest you go support Man City.

6m?? do u honestly think thats all celtic can afford??lawell has promised us investment into the club for ages now!! and 9m(not sure exactly so feel free to correct me)in the last 3/4 years is simply not enough!!every club is in a bit of debt it really doesnt make much difference in modern day football as big clubs prove all the time!!
