Bottlers...

Our tag now in Scottish football, and we deserve it. The referee was a * disgrace but that's no excuse.

Now I'm not saying that we don't win any big games, we win some. However, that's our last THREE big games we have completely bottled, not good enough.
It's getting beyond a * joke now.

The Huns are down on their knees and we still can only win 1 trophy when we were on our way to a treble last month

I just wish these refereeing decisions would stop papering over the cracks.we have serious flaws that need sorting

 

Agree players and management need to start looking at them self .

 

It is getting worrying,
1) winning title at ibrox - we don't turn up until last 10 mins
2) Cup final against Killie - poor finishing and poor attitude cost us
3) Cup semi against Hearts - poor finishing and workrate again cost us

Turning into a recurring theme where we do not take chances and we play very poorly, our defence looked non-existent at times, hearts were able to go through us so easily and could have scored more as well.

 

You could go back longer than just this season .

 

Have to agree. Never a penalty but Hoopers was offside aswell. I don't see how you can completely blame the referees when one major wrong decision was for one team, and one was for the other. I think though that the referee will be blamed, and that the performance will be looked at less. When Hearts scored their first there was a complete lack of urgency. We missed 3 absolute sitters aswell.

This could have been basically the perfect season, winning the treble and winning the league at Ibrox, but we've bottled it completely. I know we can't win every game, but we've lost too many big games like these, and IMO have earned the bottlers tag.

 

Yep lennon for me got it totally wrong today, Over the peace i think hearts deserved it.

 

The team played poorly. Not really Lennys fault, they keep letting him down. Couple of players in the summer and next year could be great

 

Couldnt watch the game today but you have a gut feeling when the going gets tuff,,,,,,,,,,,,we crash and burn

 

this becoming more then just a joke, all the more reason come transfer time Lenny finds some strong minded experienced winners for the first XI rather just the odd old guy like Maj and Freddie.

 

How can you be bottlers and win the league with 5 games to spare?

Quite easy to explain that one, the collapse of competitors around you, our great match winning run took bottle, it did, it was a fantastic run against all the odds, but please don't try and use that to explain our useless performances in the cups.

Then the game at ibrox was something out of a horror story.

I'm not using it to explain performances. Don't be daft. But I refuse to believe the Champions are bottlers. Bottlers don't come back from a 15 point deficit.

Absolutely dominated the whole game today, eventually got the goal we totally deserved only to be shafted by a horrific referee decision. There's nothing at all to suggest we bottled it today. If the ref had done his job then we'd be sitting talking about a final, absolutely no fault of the players for that.
