Anybody else suprised at how brilliant we have been with the ball and attacking. Especially when our managers job as a player was to pass the ball sideways/backwards and anchor. The excellent attacking and understanding between this new team of ours is just amazing. I was slight sceptical (but supported) about the Lennon appointment but the football he has us playing is outstanding. Well done Lenny. :50:

The bar has been well and truly raised. Bought some absolute quality.

  3. It's the best I have seen us play since the days of Jock Stein. It we don't win the league this year, then I am a Dutchman :50:

i loved lenny as a player but worried about his appointment as manager........he's shown us he can find a player and get them playing.
who'd have thought a wee ginge fae norn iron would have us playing like the 1970 dutch side.

The difference between Mowbray and Lennon, so far, is Mowbray told everyone he was going to serve up awesome and slick passing football and served up dross. Lennon promised nothing more than a team that will fight for the club, the attacking football has been built on top of that base.

It's surprised me personally, I thought he'd go and buy 5 or 6 set piece experts and we'd be a throwback to O'Neill's side but this team (so far) is a lot more pleasing on the eye.

Celtic have been a delight to watch the last two games and hopefully can only get better.

The huns of course will not give up the title easily.

Kinda glad the first OF game of the season is in October as will give the bhoys more time to gel. Already looking forward to.

So far, Lenny is playing the football I was expecting at the start of last season under Mowbray and doing very well at it aswell. I would have been extremely happy just to get winning consistently again under Lenny but fair play, he is doing it playing some quality stuff. Keep up the great work!:celt_2:

There is a well balanced team forming now.

If we can get a poacher type striker in (I know Hooper is expected to do that) and the new left back performs, then I really feel confident that this team could do some damage.

The good thing is, we can shift Juarez and Ledley into the fullback positions too, and with Rogne, Hooiveld, Loovens and Hunskelper as the cb's, then we are definitely getting there.

The big goalie is signing tomorrow apparently.

Lennon deserves every praise for recognising the problem areas and sorting them with players worthy of a place.

For the first time in years I feel we could get goals from all positions, something we've sadly lacked.

The speed at which we transform defense into attack is phenomenal, and i have faith in anyone on the pitch to score (okay not always with Samaras but Lennon's not a miracle worker). We do look real top class.

You are spot on with your analysis, thats exactly how Lennon used to play, good player but I would have put him on the bench many atime. :84:

The way Celtic are playing I think we could win the league but with a Robbie Keane, we dont have enough good strikers prolific yet. Fortune has improved a wee bit, but he is useless at shooting, and others too.

The football we produced over the last few games is the required minimum, the KEY to having a good season is consistency. If we can do that the league we will ours and we will do well in Europa. There are going to be bad games along the way but how we react to a bad game will also be crucial, not just the players but the fans also. The moaning and groaning has a severe detrimental effect and fans have to realise that. If a player fannies about with no interest then and only then is a moan is permitted but if a player tries something and it doesn't come off then encouragement is alot more beneficial. Common sense really.

we need a goalscorer and keeper, other than that i love this, i wanted celtic to play like this last season,

we dont attack in a formation:p and we dont try to pass through opposition, we pass around them everyone takes a place on the pitch makes them selves available so we can keep possesion,

what i love is we actually keep possesion now as opposed to attack all the time and getting no where we look for space and passes, big improvment since mulgrew left, noone punts the ball up the left hand side

Impressed so far but still cautious. Can't help it due to last season.

It's funny as a lot of people really didn't rate Lenny, either in transfer experience or tactical experience. So far he has delivered. I for one, as a supporter like his attitude and post match comments and interviews.

    Here's hoping to a great season :50:
