Americans

  1. As a Jets fan, us being perennial underdogs, you have no idea how refreshing it is to have a coach come in with Rex Ryan's fire. A man with the balls to come out and say, essentially: "It's a new day.. we're better than you.. we're gonna kick your *. If you don't like the way that sounds.. TOUGH. This is how we roll." I'll take a guy like that to lead my team any day over some mealy-mouthed average coach. Love him or hate him, he brings so much to the NFL.

See similarities to Lennon in the passion department tbh. Lennon just doesn't use the foul language or make bold predictions. But neither is afraid to be who they are and speak their mind.

  2. Any of you Americans from Compton, South Central?

Is it as bad as they make it out to be in the movies?

    :56:

  3. wait so you dont have cows and chickens :43:

  4. People here are remarkably stupid.

  5. ya but you see he doesnt back up his talking, he hasnt won anything yet, and no matter what the jets will always be new yorks 3rd teamafter the bills and giants :bbpd:

  6. Back to back conference titles games is successful by any NFL franchise standards. It's not winning it all, but still very respectable. To be 1 win from the Super Bowl in your first season as a head coach, with a team that missed the postseason the previous year, is also noteworthy.

As for being big dog in New York, the times they are a-changin. We've been the only one of the three to even appear in the playoffs the past two years. And we're going to underscore that by whoopin the Giants this season on Christmas Eve. That's week 16. So you'd better hope you have your division sewn up by then, otherwise that L is going to be a double-whammy!

  7. I don't really like American football. oh yeah, go Bears!

  8. At the end of the day we are all Irish mate, we just got on different boats. :50:

  9. :50:

"Suuure aren't we.. all Irish anyhow" lol

that's odd, never knew i am irish. i don't look irish at all... :56:

  10. 2 years of playoffs in a weaker division does not making you big dog, us having more championships and more fans makes us bigger :icon_mrgreen:, you had the same record as us last year if I remember right, and besides nothing is guarenteed, remember the last time we played :bbpd:

  11. Eastern Irish, Far eastern Irish!:icon_mrgreen:

  12. Yeah they are pretty bad, I was a Patriots fan before the Panthers even existed though. My dad lived in NJ and Boston, hence why I like the Patriots and the Red Sox.

    2 Years? That's a rather small sample size, :56:

  13. The convo has largely centered around Rex Ryan, that's how long he's been in charge!

  17. I haven't got a bad word to say about Americans. They've always been really nice whenever I'm there. My girlfriend of 5 years is American and she looks good in a Celtic top haha :)

  18. I began following Celtic several years ago, don't really remember when to be honest, but I can honestly say that what drove me to being a Tim, was the overwhelming feeling that I belonged. I have Scottish and Irish roots to be sure, * I wear kilts to honor my family and heritage. I used to watch EPL games on TV and think, I enjoy watching football but I cannot find any passion with those teams. Everyone I know that follows football likes Arsenal, or ManU or Real Madrid or what have you. I just didn't fit with any of those. When I tell people that I have my flag planted firmly in Celtic, they just look and say...yep that fits.
As far as being the typical Southerner, I also fit that bill, I speak with a drawl, drive a 4 wheel drive, deer hunt, bass fish and besides my love for Celtic I am a Georgia Bulldawg (University of Georgia). Never liked the NFL, rarely watch baseball, I am only really avid about college football and Celtic. I feel so fortunate to be a part of the Celtic family...
    Cheers Y'all!

Teeehee. I don't really like the Giants but they're in the Championship game after beating the best team in the league and the Jets didn't reach the play offs!
