Alan Thompson

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by JrOhara2, Mar 4, 2011.

This man needs a lot of credit.
I love Lennon and his hunger, but Thommo has got Lenny out of so many spots of bother.
Pulled him away and calmed him down on several occasions.
The OF game, The infamous Dundee game, ect.
Alan has suprised me, as being just a ferocious on the park as Lennon was, seems Alan has matured into a great assistant for lenny.
Just thought Thommo need some recognition.
    Well Done
    Hail Hail

I'd echo this. There was a moment on Wednesday, when he had his arm around Lenny's neck, to kinda drag him away when that Diouf idiot came over to the Celtic bench. It was very reminded of that famous photo of O'Neill doing something similiar with Lenny after a bad tempered game at Ipox. Thommo could be a real hothead as a player, and there has definately been that same fire in his belly as always. When Lenny begins his stint in the stands, I think the Bhoys will be used to hearing Thommo's Geordie accent, as he has been doing all season, besides a certain Swedish beserker!

His interview on the BBC with 'Chick Hun', was a real classy.
Well balanced & mature, what with that 'Chick Hun' trying to bait him.
Nice one Thommo, I've seen you on the field & seen you loose your cool, so, it's refreshing to see you've matured well, learnt from your mistakes & have become the perfect number 2 to Lenny !!!!!!!!!!!:50:

I personally think Lennon would make an even better manager if he stays in the stand and watches the game as he has Thommo to bark his orders for him (learn more about his team)

It would keep him out of trouble too :87:

Yeah must admit I'm not overly upset he won't be on the sidelines for the old firm. Just hope McCoist is put in a box as well. Will admit that WGS and SWS had been pretty good keeping a lid on everything and not letting it turn nasty even if it was at the expense of good football.
