A difficult one, Radiohead are critically acclaimed and have produced great singles over the years but if you were to ask me who I would go and see live tomorrow I would have to say Muse. Don't know if that makes them better though.

Like a few radiohead songs, don't see what all the fuss is about them. Seen muse live, they were amazing !!

I've seen Radiohead live once and Muse live three times.
Both were phenomenal live and both are critically acclaimed and commercially successful.
But overall I think I prefer listening to Muse.

Muse are 100% skill and talent in aspect of their act. Radiohead do not show any skill or much talent

Muse are so much more talented in the solos shown in their songs

I voted Radiohead purely for their first 2 albums, the second of which is one of the best of all time, after that they went waaaaaaaay down hill. Ok comp has a few good tunes but overall it grates with me, as do all albums since.

Muse i cannot stand, the guys voice goes right through me and their songs are just pre-pubescent pish.

In my opinion of course :50:

I'd have to completely disagree with you there.
Very few musicians could write and perform songs the way Radiohead do.

i think we're gonna disagree on music for once mate!

radiohead are one of if not the best band ever. they have progressed every album and every one sounds different. ok computer is the greatest album ever made, majestic from start to finish, perfect. then instead of making ok computer 2 they experimented artistically and made some more amazing music. some of it is a bit obstinate but in rainbows is a return to form.

muse? * me what a pile of pish. they try to sound like a cross between radiohead, jeff buckley and queen and fail miserably. i'd go as far to say they're one of the worst bands i've ever heard

Well i can see why people would think OK comp is a great album, a mean musically and lyrically it's good, but it's just quite hard to listen to for me. I don't know if that makes a whole lot of sense :39:

Kid A sealed it for me and although i've tried to steer clear of them after that i have heard the odd song or 2 from each album and tbh they've not done much to make me rethink.

I know what your goanny say, get the albums and give them a chance. Got to say tho, usually once i've fell out with a band there's very little hope of me falling back in. You said it yourself, am a musical snob )

i can appreciate fans of guitar music disliking kid a and amnesiac, i'm a big fan of electronic music so i loved them, but ok computer is the most complete album i've had the pleasure of listening to. the last album "in rainbows" was a return to more traditional songs and amazing

Radiohead by far. Much more innovative and experimental. They've created some of the best music of the last twenty years.

Muse are decent, I have a few of their albums, but it's Radiohead every time for me. Brilliant band.

Don't get me wrong, a love plenty of electronic stuff aswell. Sounds like i could give in rainbows a bash, although i hope that 'whiney' voice of his has disappeared. For me it worked on Street Spirit, but Yorke stuck with it and ruined it imo.
