OCD - yup I believe that everyone suffers from this in some form or another, obviously some worse than others.

Me personally it's front doors, If I've left the house and am last person to leave the house I sometime's get struck with the thought "did I close/lock the front door?"

As soon as that thought pops into my head I panic, I can't think of anything else except to go back and make sure I've locked the front door. Drives me mad, doesn't matter if I'm in work/just left for work/pub you name it I have to get home and check else i can't rest, had this for years, don't know how it started though.

    Anyone else?

Usually the same mate, if i am the one having to lock the front door i always think at work "have i locked the door". Drives me crazy, usually spend most the day worried.

I work with a guy who has to hang his clothes all in the same direction on the hanger.

We were going out to an appointment & I hung his t shirts up - he had to go through the whole wardrope to check, they were all hanging properly - pain in the *!

He gets really quite anxious about it.

Also mental with calendars, has about 8 calendars & rubs the date out on every one of them each day.

If I'm in my hallway and heading to bed and switch off the light I can't turn back. That's the main OCD I have, I've got a few others but I can't think of them right now.

also glad to see I'm not alone in the front door thing! remembered another thing I used to do when I was younger a wierd one - used to count all the letters on signs/posters/headings that sort of thing, * nuts, just had to count the letters, thankfully I don't do that now!

Av got a similar one to that m8, i always read words and look for the middle letter. For example talkceltic.net......talkce - l - tic.net. * so annoying.

Also if am goin up a set of stairs i have to put my right foot on the last step. I don't have to but it just doesn't feel right if it's my left foot haha

I must have things sitting straight. If they look slightly off centre, I've got to move them/it.

Even if it's only a centimetre, I've got to move it.

Im the same with the front door but also with the iron, even if its not been on, i'll always turn back and double check the iron and the door. My worst one I have though is if I see a single magpie I form a ring with my thumb and middle finger and 'break' it 7 (lucky number) times on each hand. Totally * up. Stems from all that 'break my sorrow' * when I saw a magpie when I was a kid

i never thought i had any till someone started a thread on it.
    .
Before i start ironing (as seldon as that is), when the iron is up to temperature, i just have to touch it.
    .
also...i seem to be obsessed with tucking the curtains behind the radiator after i draw them. My Mrs says it looks stupid. i dont care.
