Your first Celtic game

Celtic - Aberdeen boxing day 1971 at Parkhead. Kenny Dalglish was playing, so was wee Bobby Lennox. Think we won 2-1 but memories are scant as I was only 4.

Can still remember my old man being minging drunk though and a couple of coppers warning him to * behave himself.

dont remember a Rovers v Celtic friendly in 2000,but
Rovers played Celtic in 2002 at tolka.
finished 1-1. Marc Kenny scored a cracking 25 yard free for Rovers.Noel Hunt (now at reading) played for Rovers that day

and Bray Wandeders in Bray 1999.
i was at, and still have the programmes from, these games..

 

it was against nottingham forrest at cp for i think a testimonial cant remember who it was for though i was quite young at the time and i think we went down 3-1.

Billy Stark scored two, can't remember who scored the other, and Tommy Burns won the Mr Superfit award.

Yeah that's it. I'm just remembering being at the Bray game too, so that was my first then! Really can't remember much about either of them, other than during one of the games when the Celts were out training my uncle caught one of the balls and I thought it was the most amazing, exciting thing ever

 

season 88 parkhead,,the mighty jungle we beat dundee 5-1 i think mcavennie and walker both scored a double...

1st away game was easter road,,we won 1-0 walker scored,,that was the game the tear gas was thrown into the crowd.

 

celtic vs fulham, we won 4-1 in a friendly i reckon it was in the 2000/2001 season

St Johnstone game about 10-12 years ago-ish....guy who sat next to my dad offered him his seat. 0-0 draw....pure pish lol but never forget the atmosphere and the :O of seeing the stadium in full :icon_mrgreen:

 

It was a 2-0 victory for Celtic against Newcastle at parkhead where we scored a penalty (larsson i think) and a header from a corner (which i also think was larsson), 27 July 1999!

 

Flag Day start of 1998/1999 Dunfermline at Parkhead won 5-0 a think.. Craig Burley got a few..

 

celtic v dundee utd dec 99, during the infamous barnes era. 1 down at half time and we came back to win 4-1, regi blinker even scored!

 

2-2 draw with Hibs during the Hampden season in 1994. Don't remember much of it as I was only 4 at the time but I remember us wearing that awful black shirt with bits of white and green in it.
