:56:lol - I'm with squire - there seems to be a regular theme around here that if a player isn't in the team then they must be better than whatever player at the time isn't playing at their best. How about we trust the managers judgment in thinking that Sheriden deserves the nod before Hutchison. In fact I'd imagine that if Skippy were injured (and Venegoor) then Hutchison would get the nod as I see him more of a MacDonald type player...

McCourt hasn't even been given a chance yet ffs. Maybe he should be shipped out on loan but I'd like to see him given a chance first before he was sold which is doubtful.

If that was true he would have been picked before Sheridan.

Sheridan will be a good player. As will Hutchinson, McGowans got the Mark Burchills about him for me.

Thing is everybody who is slating Sheridan, i reckon since he came in to the first team and im just including from when he came in to right now, has any of our curent strikers out scored him?

    Embarrassing?

What exactly has Hutchinson done at first team level?

Our scouts and management may have a judgement but their judgements are not always right, just look at the flops we've bought over the years and you'll see that. If he was that good why was he not signed up by anyone while he was younger, like most good players are???? lololol

What is it you see in sheridan, ok he scored a few tapins while he came in for big sammy while he was injured but apart from that... he runs about the field like a carthorse...

He cant tackle, cant jump, too light, clumsy, and yea rough around the edges and did i mention hes an ugly * lol

neways on a more serious note, the guy stinks so why dont u go play with yourself and dont talk nonsense :38:

No point comparing a world class talent against a donkey irish man ffs. Ribery may have been discovered late but that rarely happens in present day football.

Anyone who thinks sheridan is a decent CELTIC player needs their head examined, the guy should be playing league 2 football never mind premier league football. In fact ill take that back, he shouldnt be allowed to put on a pair of boots ffs hes that embarassing :38:

The point is the fact that we picked him up at 17 years old and not earlier is null, 17 is still young for a footballer.

Sheridan got flung into the deep end and got us vital points in the process, for somebody who hadn't even played 20 reserve games he coped admiringly well. He scored 4 goals, better than any other striker we had in that period.

He's only young nineteen, he is still growing. He'll add a bit of muscle to his game that will be developed, he'll be taught posistioning while he gets more games in the reserve leauges like what would have happened in an ideal world were we had all our first team players fit.

Sheridan is promising he has a lot to his game, the rest will come with experience and him developing more physically. Your attitude towards him as a Celtic player and a very young inexperienced one at that stinks, its not needed:38:

He is a decent player, he has only been playing soccer for 2 years and he's already scored in the SPL and played UCL football. He's far from the finished article, thats why he's in the reserves

Sheridan just isn't good enough. You wouldn't even get another SPL team taking a chance on him. He's scared when on the park.

Balde and Donati and if that frees up enough wages to bring in a better defender, I would let O'Dea go aswell.

If that's not contradicting yourself i don't know what is. M8 he was brought in as cover like you say, and in all honesty who expected anything at all from him all things considered? He done more than was asked of him and anyone who can't see that you've got personal issues with him, or else it's just blind ignorance.

I read earlier on in the thread someone say about Sheridan that him being in the right place at the right time wasn't anything special, but surely thats the key ingrident for a good striker that nack of just being where the ball is when theres a chance to score. Henke had that nack, the best strikers do. Some the greatest stikers have games where their almost invisble the whole game but they get their there to finish when the chance comes.

Sadly we wont ever see any of these players, realistically i would like us to sign de ridder of wigan, appiah, give him bobo,s wages, a left back, preferibly sylvinhio. We are also short up front so we need a striker.
