It seems that most people in the West do not in fact support Israel.

And nor can my religion (I have no religion) shape my views on Israel.

Hamas has explicitly stated that it wants to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. That's not Western spin, they have said it themselves.

 

I think theres a bit of a difference between making a comment like that and murdering 200+ innocent civilians in the space of a day. All it was was a comment after all, and it has nothing to do with the civilians they butcher for it.

 

Bush told it was going to be a holy war against the muslim terrorists. in every american movie or video game, you always fight against muslim terrorists.
therefore I think the "official western enemy" is a muslim terrorist. as you know many people will believe this and say every muslim is a terrorist (rednecks).

Hamas has stated that, but it's fair to mention that the Israeli deputy defence minister Matan Vilnai threatened the people of Gaza with a holocaust in february 2008.

 

Most of the dead are Hamas operatives. Hamas are firing rockets in to Israel trying to kill people indiscriminately, so the Hamas operatives are hardly innocent civilians.

Back to the original point, it is patently obvious that Z's religion has a bearing on his views on these issues.

And in your little mind Hamas saying this about Israel is unacceptable, while Israel are in effect doing this to Palestine, but it is acceptable.

 

We are not in the USA and it seems that the majority of people on this forum are anti-Israel and therefore have not been brainwashed in to believing sweeping generalisations about Muslims.

I believe that is also true. But I also believe that the reporting in the UK can be biased against the Israelis.

FTB has pointed out that the Israelis are more than willing to allow a range of religions within their borders. Alas Hamas are not so tolerant, and it is their stated aim to remove/kill those people who are not Muslims.

 

You would need to ask Hamas because they have released statements saying that most of the dead are Hamas operatives.

Firstly I've reported your post for it's insulting tone.

Secondly do you have any reason to doubt that Hamas would not actually do this and kill every Israeli?

Thirdly, I presume you mean that the current bombing from Israel is 'in effect Israel doing this to Palestine'. You glossed over something though - Hamas are indiscriminately firing rockets in to Israel. The Israelis are responding.
