Why hasn't Koki been tested out earlier?

Usain Bolt isn't fast enough to avoid being hacked in an OF game. Brown can do Nakamura's share, that's about it. We can't have him covering for three players on his own.

 

A midfield of Maloney-Brown-Nakamura-Mizuno would be annhilated by Rangers. It's far too frail, Brown can't defend for all of them. They'd be bullied out of the game in the first ten minutes, I honestly think that would be an absolute massacre, I'd be very surprised if we managed a shot on goal with that midfield.

 

Hartley will be in the team hopefully, that's another man covered. And Mizuno is actually sturdier than Nakamura. Some people said that, and after seeing him today, it's true. And the ref is supposedly one who won't tolerate roughing.

 

Ok, well we'll see what Strachan does. After his rant in August, I'm sure he will go for a more physical midfield- I know he's limited with his options through injury, but I can't see Nakamura and Mizuno starting.

 

Physical vs Flair will be a tough choice that Strachan will have to make.

 

I'd rather have them than Caldwell in midfield. This way, we'll score goals, and if the defense doesn't * up, we should come out as winners.

 

Leone is their any game you feel Mizuno or Nakamura should not play?

 

iFirst and foremost, we need muscle at Legoland, We need to earn the right to play. Nothing`s changed through the years. Batter them, match their physical presence early doors then show them who the real football team is.! Hail!Hail!

Football can be about passing. You could put Crosas in for one of the wingers and you have a very similar looking shape and personnel to the midfield.

 

It's hardly a given we'll score goals. Until the last 5 minutes we'd only managed a handful of chances and only scored once. And that's against Falkirk.

Your suggestion could lead to a repeat of August's match. We'd have learnt nothing from our loss if we played a weak team again.

 

youve gotta hand it mizuno today ,from the get go he showed he was on his game ,slick passing "with both feet" i think i jokingly said "kokis giving me a semi" as he looked exciting,

1. Senna is a defensive midfielder
2. All four of those players are competent in the centre of the park, whether it's CDM, CM or CF.
3. You can't compare Xavi, Silva, Senna and Iniesta to Nakamura, Brown, McGeady and Mizuno. They're technically much better, that's why they can pass their way through teams.
4. They're more defensively capable too.

 

No. We're a flair team. And these 2 give much flair. We want to be different than Rangers. Well, these 2, along some others, make the difference.

This is not true. Xavi is a midget, like the other 2. And we can pass through Rangers defence, because the players we have are of a high enough level to do so.

 

They'd take more away from the team if they were in it together against Rangers than they'd bring to it, IMO.

 

Obviously and it's not international teams we're facing. It's only Rangers. I'm only suggesting that you don't need a bunch of hard tackling physical players to win games. Today referees protect the ball players which means the better team has a better chance.

Nakamura...Crosas...Brown....Mizuno

That midfield may not look strong but I believe they would be great on the ball and Brown and Crosas read the game brilliantly for breaking up play.

 

If Strachan played that, it would mean he'd learnt nothing from August.

These two don't have the same passing quality which we need. Neither does Brown but what an engine the guy has.

 

That my friend is your problem, their are very few players in the world who are perfect for every game. Nakamura and Mizuno are a long way off. :no:

 

We don't need a passing quality against Rangers, absolutely no way. We need a physical quality.

They played the passing game against us but they've not been the same since they lost Thomson.

Hardly physical. It was Cousin who battered our defence that day. There was nothing in it in the first half. On another day we could have beat them 4-2 with similar teams.
