Name a player who reminds you of Henrik Larsson?

The only one for me who springs to mind is Pele. With the goal scoring, the footballing brain, and his heading ability. Also his passion and loyalty. I think Henrik although not as good, is a modern day Pele on reflection.

Do any other player past of present remind you of Henrik?

 

Thierry Henry, both great in the air, both awesome 1-1 with a keeper.

 

I've personally never saw a better player than Henke. I'll be honest in saying that i've never fully saw games by the likes of Pele or Maradona. Sure I've seen clips, highlights, their talents, but never seen these guys play a full season, or been able to keep tabs on them during a season. For me Henke was a one off who'd have played anywhere.

I really Can't think of a 'carbon copy' of Henke in recent history. His style of play was rather unique. He wasn't the biggets chap, so you can't have him compared to Rooney, Ibra, Villa etc. Nor was he too small and leight to be resembling the smaller nippier players, messi, maloney etc. he was a truely gifted player. IS.

 

He had everything including amazing work rate. Top class.

Thomas Brolin, he was swedish as well what a player, it just went all wrong for some reason.

 

Dont mean to have too much of a go against a fellow supporter mate but ive read a few of your posts and the latest of which takes the biscuit.........henry good in the air......? not even a patch on larsson......... name me one goal henry has even scored with his head and your comparing him to larsson in the air ? get a grip ffs, Whatever your on I want some.

 

Larsson is a one off their is no one that can remind me of larsson because hes a one and only lets be honest we will never see a player like him again.

There ain't that many players around like that i dont think many players come close to Henrik.

 

When Samaras is on form he's got that smoothness about him, and can score with both feet and his head. Obviously not a patch on the King yet but i think if he applies himself better one day he can maybe come close to the player Henrik was.

There is no player out there who has all of the the same attributes as henke,finisher,poacher,aerial abillity,two footed,passing,vision,work rate,pace and an incredible attitude aided by an amazing will to come back from two horiffic injuries.

No player in football can claim to have these attributes in the same abundance as henke,he was unique.

We knew what we had,,sadly the rest of the world didnt until he went to barcelona.

 

They all knew what we had, everytime celtic played in Europe he would always be the danger man, most teams knew it would take a huge amount of money for celtic to accept and even then he was happy at celtic.

 

i might be off a bit here but there is a similarity between bojan kirkich or whatever
who plays for barca.
the more i watch him the more i think this is like watching henke at times,the boy is so good a player that he is only 18 scary man.

 

ive been pondering this over night and i would say

rudd van nistelroy,why?because he scores all kinds of goals from free kicks to long distance,close in to headers

most importantly,he loves scoring and celebrates every goal as if its his first ever goal,something i loved to see henke do
