how long till McGeady comes out and appologises?
because if he doesn't come out soon, like before January, I think he might be offski if he doesn't .

 

I think Gordon hit Aiden too hard. We need the man for the Rangers game, I'd deal with him after, if I were Strachan.

 

That is a fair point but what if half of the first team went out on the lash and came in drunk? Would WGS and the board continue to be 'men of their word' and hand out punishments? I doubt it.

 

Ah now the board basically have to back the gaffer Dempsey and you know that. It boils down to a vote of confidence and whether he's right or wrong, politics usually dictates that the board back the manager above the player.

I read yesterday's article in The Herald but I'm reserving judgement on this until I hear more on it. Two weeks ban from first team training is a very severe punishment for an established first team player...he's basically being ostracised so something serious has had to have happened and we're two weeks away from the opening of the transfer window.....ominous in the extreme!

You can when its your biggest rivals. So were just ment to play rangers with a weaker side just to show whos boss but if we get beat well so be it. Nahhh. Football is about results and you pick your best team to win a game against your biggest rivals which includes mcgeady.

 

That's nonsensical. A manager has to deal with breaches of discipline at the time they occur or it sends a wrong message to the rest of the squad. You can argue the merits of the punishment but you can't expect a gaffer not to discipline a player for breaking the rules.

Strachan is not going to sit in front of the press and give a blow by blow soap opera style account of exactly what happened.

It's clear that the manager (rightly) had a go at the team after a sloppy performance, and poor wee Aiden felt a bit hard done to.

Everyone person in almost every walk of life has had to listen to a managerial rant at some point in their working lives. The fact that he couldn't accept his part in a * display says more about him than the manager.

Let's look at the facts, he is a very talented young player who has had one good season of consistent performances (under the guidance of the very manager he chose to have a go at btw), but has struggled to repeat the feat this time round. Partly due to injury and partly due to the fact that teams are wise to him and double up on him all the time. (Hearts did that on Saturday and completely snuffed out his threat) If that one season has made him believe that he is better than he actually is, then I say sell him for as much money as we can get.

I bet if we do, he won't go on to hit the heights that he seems to think that he will. And if he doesn't believe me, he can just ask the last young player to win Player of the Year in the SPL and leave for a better league.

 

He'd probably attack Maloney for bursting his bubble too

 

Maloney has out-performed McGeady so far this year IMO. We'd have adequate cover if he left.

 

If mcgeady gets this much a punishment what about Boruc ? Out on the * smokin doing things he was warned not to. I dont remember the fine and suspension he got . We go on about referees being consistant so the manager has to be also. He has been far to harsh and i think is making a huge mistake.

 

listening to the agents interview, it sounds like he has more of an issue with the pen pushers rather than the manager. I'm not so sure it's Strachan who has dished out this fine and suspension.

There's nothing wrong with smoking or drinking, that's why Boruc wasn't punished.

Will Donati be punished for his ever-changing hair? Hartley for his beard? McGeady for abusing and undermining the manager?

Boruc was fined, it just wasn't made a big deal in the media because his agent didn't stir * to get a move away from the club.

And what Boruc done was more dangerous for himself than the actual club, McGeady assaulted his boss, go into work tomorrow and call your boss a * *, 6 times. We'll see where you end up.

This McGeady situation has threatened to ruin the season for the club, Boruc having a * and a pint didn't.

 

i do not understand how we need mcgeady for the old firm game.
aiden is not playing well and has not done all season.
at ibrox we need our midfield to defend a thing that aiden cant do.
and finally maybe just maybe the rest of the bhoys will come out fighting for themselves and there team-mates maybe not a bad thing
