What's the average that people play a game for here?

Seems like some people are starting a new game every week or so :s

    * *, played Inter in the Italian Super Cup.

Half time, I was 1-0 up, but my 2 strikers and a winger were injured, down to around 50% fitness, so I subbed them all. Over the 2nd half I had to take 3 more players off, ended the game with 8 players.

    Still won though :D

Some players will never realise their full potential though

I've had the game for about six months and I'm still in my first game, although I don't get to play too regularly. Am currently in the 2038/2039 season. I'll list my career after a quick check... Here we are:

2008/09-2028/29 - Celtic manager for exactly twenty seasons. 17 SPL titles (eleven in a row), 11 Scottish Cups and 7 Scottish League Cups. 5 domestic trebles. 3 European Cups, 1 UEFA Cup. 2 European Super Cups. 2 World Club Championships. Won all six possible tournaments in two different seasons. 43 trophies in twenty seasons.

    Had a year break.

2030/31-2037/38 - Republic of Ireland manager. Quarter finalist in Euro 32. 3rd place in 2034 World Cup. Losing finalist in Euro 36. Winner of 2038 World Cup. Resigned a day later.

Wondering what to do now. Earn my trade by playing my custom 4-2-3-1 formation. It's seen as rather defensive, but it has the biggest clubs in the world left disappointed when I reject their managerial vacancies.

    *Puts * away*

    Ha!

Was terrible at the few FMs before this season's - just couldn't find a formation that worked for me. The new one, however, is working like a charm.

    1 season?

Try starting with more leagues loaded and no first season budgets Mick,

less leagues loaded, easier the game I find

I always have the big leagues on anyhow.

Couldnt do it with no first season budgets, Dont have the patiences for that. I always like the idea of building my team. Adverages first transfer window I buy about 10-15 players .

I know it would be more a challange but it takes about a day in playing time for me to complete a season so a cant wait about 2 weeks (in real life) to buy somebody.

I won my three European Cups in my last five seasons. I kept on losing in the QF or SFs. The desire to finally start winning the thing kept me going. What I did with Ireland was down to a bunch of freakishly immense regens, it has to be said. Other national teams that were doing well after twenty or so years of the game were Turkey, Sweden and Colombia, I seem to remember. 'Golden eras.'

Running five leagues - Scottish, English, Spanish, Italian and German

TBH, budgets make the game so easy.

Given that you know who to sign in the first window for the best value for money, how do expect to have a challenge?

I quit a Celtic game in the 1st transfer window because I was able to sign Mathieu, Sakho, Fletcher and Milevskyi when I only loaded the big leagues. There was no point playing a game I was not going to get a decent challenge

    Good stuff

I used to run 45 leagues immense challenge as good players wouldnt be sold cheaply to anyone but I couldnt be arsed after 7 seasons as the loading times were getting abit long

I have about 16 running at the moment and I feel that its easy enough as I can get players pretty easy from leagues that arent fully loaded

Those players cost less when you run the league there in so it makes signing them easier. Well in my games thats what i've found.

I agree with you though about budgets making it easier.

How long in game time does it take you too complete a season usually ?
Fact thats a question to all ?

My chairman has just accepted a bid for Hernanes 6 months after buying him. I'm not mad because he's 29 and getting €31M after paying €15.5M 6 months earlier is a great deal.

He replaced Ramires who I sold to AC Milan, got €48.5M + 15% 6 months after buying him for €24.5M

I could keep doing this until I get a new stadium

If you load the french league, Sakho would never consider joining the likes of Celtic until they win the UCL. Generally the more leagues loaded, the harder it is to find players that would move to the SPL. Its quite a good challenge + no first season budgets and you have a really good challenge again as you cant exploit the usual players to fast track success

Never timed a season, I could spend hours searching for staff and players myself

Sakho's never been interested in Celtic in my game in the first season anyway. Milevskyi is worth usually about £5 million (Costs £7.5million) in my game when I dont load the Russian league but if I do load it then he's only wurth £1.5million (Costs £3 million) Same applies with Diakhate at Kiev.

The closest i've got too no budget was with Everton. Think thats quite a good challenge.

Same happened to me, bought him for £14mill and he never played a game (no work permit) Reid accepted a £28million offer for him in January.

Italian league is proving harder than I thought (Roma) spend £100 million and now have far to many midfielder:31:.!
